Review summary

This was our 5th Carnival cruise and we loved it as always. Maybe Carnival needs to make a video about basic etiquette for people that didn’t learn it as children.

It wasn’t too smoky and we had a lot of fun. The craps table has a $5 minimum so you can play quite a while for a smaller investment.

The shows were fun ant the talent was on par with other cruises. The valor rock band is great! The guitar player is top shelf!

The staff as always, are great and call you by name. Carnival does a really good job.

We had sailed in the freedom before and this is the same design. Great ship and easy to get around on.

Suite was nice. Well laid out and very comfortable.

Ship tip

Be patient. I think there are a lot of people that haven’t cruised much and don’t know how to act. Kids not being watched, people congregating in and blocking travel corridors having conversations while others can’t easily pass by. Lack of etiquette and basic manners.

Cozumel, Mexico

We went to paradise beach resort and had a great time although there isn’t really much beach by the water. Good food and strong drinks. Loved the mango margarita.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Easy on and easy off. Got to NOLA the day before, lots of hotel choices near the port. Nice downtown area.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

We got off the ship and walked around the pier and went back to the ship. This port needs more development. You have to take transportation to town and we did not do that so I can’t say how that is.

We had a 7:15 time and were in our car by 7:30. The only issue was people trying to get out before their time.
