Overall for my first cruise. It was good. I am trying another one next year with the whole family. Next time we will go out of Galveston and on a bigger boat. It amazes me how they all run the boat and have everything organized and all.
Embarkation

It was cold and rainy a little leaving New Orleans , but the cruise staff still made it fun and entertaining as they could. Everyone was really nice .
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

I don't think was nothing I tried that I didn't like. Everything was so good. They was plenty of options throughout the whole day. The dining rooms had entertainment and we were able to meet some nice friendly people.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was plenty to do on the cruise ship. We cruise in colder months so this helped because we couldn't really enjoy pool much because of the chili winds. We did several shows and played bingo. Fun!!
Entertainment

There was always a show going on or if you was outside there was always dancing and performers and djs from all over the place. We had a Jamaican dj that was so good. The night parties were so fun. And everyone joined in.
Service and Staff

Everyone who worked on ship that we came in contact with was amazing. Very nice. I even lost some pictures one night and the lady who sat us down at table (remind you she know my name just sitting me and my husband down) ,still remembered my name a day later when she saw me and told me she had my pictures. Very nice. Amazing how they remember everyone's name.
Ship Quality

The ship was very clean. It didn't matter what time of day or night ,they were always cleaning. The layout of ship was a little confusing to me but remind you this was my first cruise.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had a balcony. It was nice having the balcony but it was cold so we could not enjoy it to much. The size of room was perfect. The bathroom small but for the little time you use it everyday it is fine. The room was mainly quite until they came on intercom to announce something .
Ship tip
Valor is a smaller boat I hear then others . It is still very nice though. The only advice I can give someone is to enjoy!!
The port is very nice. Alot of shopping and several restaurants. Be ready for "pushers" , they try and make you buy everything. They do not let you look and see what you might like. We ate at three amigos. It was nice . Had entertainment there. When we went we still had to wear mask , so it wasn't fun because it was already hot there then having a mask on didn't help.
The port is nice. Easy parking and going through port is easy. I myself do not care for New Orleans. But it is closer for us to catch a cruise and a one night stay will not hurt me.
