Review summary

We love cruising Carnival. This was our first time on the Valor and really like this boat. All the food options makes it hard to make a choice, but that is a good thing.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We arrived just before 11 am., which was our scheduled time. We had to wait in a long line of people and we had to be weeded out of those people because they had arrived too early. That isn't the fault of the port or Carnival.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was always good and plenty of choices.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Didn't do any activities but it always seemed like something was going on.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Carnival Valor band was awesome!! Loved the America Rocks show.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Arda, our room steward, was always attentive to us. But it only takes 1 person to ruin a 5 star rating. The lady in the coffee bar always seemed unhappy even though we always tried to put a smile on her face.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Love the layout of the Valor. It is easy to get around. There was always people cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Love the L shape of the room and a balcony that is a bit larger than regular balcony.

Ship tip

Don't sweat the small stuff. Enjoy!! You are on vacation.
