Review summary

It was our first cruise so it was a learning experience.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Getting on the boat was easy. No access to your room and carrying your non checked bags around for hours was not great.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The drinks were surprisingly great, much better than anticipated. The food was better than expected, but not resort quality.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The adult area was great, the adult pool was not near the adult area which was odd. There were a few things to do during the morning/afternoon not food and drink related, but there could have been more.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Comedy shows, variety shows, music shows were better than expected.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The dining room staff did not seem to be on par with the rest of the boat staff, but they were still good.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Everything was maintained and clean, the boat seemed old in some aspects. You could not access all levels and areas directly. Some areas required you go up a level at mid ship and then down again at the back. There good be more shade on the decks.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Size and cleanliness was excellent. The beds are comparable to those found in low-to-mid range hotels. Better than a cheap motel, but not a Marriott.

Ship tip

Bring a battery operated fan.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

4 out of 5
No excursions. There was a sewage smell that was unpleasant for the several hours on the boat before embarkment.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Beautiful beach. We did a "resort for a day". The time at the port was so limited that the value of the excursion was not worth it. An all inclusive resort for a day but you can't leave the boat until 8:30 and have be back on the boat by 3:30. add transit to/from and onboarding protocals and there was not much time to enjoy all that the port had to offer.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

4 out of 5
transit to and from the boat could improve. we did a cenote and beach club. the cenotes were not like those on the photos, but the tour guide was great and the beach was great.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It would be "great" but the time schedule presented was not followed, the elevators were partially shut down, and the stairs getting to the level were still roped off.

Thanks for sharing. We usually drive through and drop.our luggage before we park. Just bring anything you may need before you get your luggage in a carry on. The Main dining room service is coming around as they get more help. It's our favorite place to eat.
