Review summary

Overall our experience was fantastic everything went very smooth. Food was great, everyone was nice. Didn't have a problem anywhere.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We have passports so we never had to stand in the line we went straight up. Within 10 minutes we were on lido deck. We boarded early.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There was always plenty of options and food to eat. We just wished Guys Burgers stayed open a little later but that's understandable.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was always some kind of activity to do or trivia game or show to watch or just games to play outside. A couple of our favorite things to do was to play cornhole which was usually available to play. We really enjoyed the movie night on Lido deck. My husband and I won a trophy from one of the trivia games.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
There was always plenty of entertainment and shows schedules were always put in our room early. The show performers and singers are amazing you can tell they put in a lot of work.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
At the time of sailing our son was 8 and our daughter was 11. They only went to camp ocean one night and we took them after hours so we paid for dim to go to the night owls at camp ocean. so my husband and I could enjoy some time by ourselves. When we went to pick them up they said they had so much fun and did arts and crafts and each of them had a metal to where that said Camp Ocean

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff looked like they were busting their butts cleaning rooms and the ship the entire time and always had a smile on their faces and were very friendly.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was beautiful and always kept clean. The layout was easy to find everything. The only reason why I give it 1 star less is because of the casino placement. We had to walk through all the cigarette smoke. There was no way around it unless you went down over and back up.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
For four of us we have plenty of room and space for everything. The window was way bigger than we expected. We could sit in it and just watch the waves.

Ship tip

Try to participate in as much as you can and don't look for the negative in things. I got land sick when we got back from our 5-Day Cruise. I felt like I was still on the ship rocking for two weeks after we got home. So just be prepared to expect it. I know not everyone gets it. Out of my husband and our two kids I was the only one that had it. But I was completely fine on the boat.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We did the swim with dolphins excursion with lunch included. We had a blast it was a great experience and bought a picture of each of the kids with the dolphin I think it was a total of $75 for their two pictures.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

3 out of 5
Progresso is quite rough. I would keep your kids very close to you but of course I would do that anyway anywhere you go. The shuttle to the beach was an air-conditioned bus but I was worried that they were going to run over somebody.

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
We live in Dallas Texas so we were in Galveston to board the ship, but Galveston is amazing even though the water is not the prettiest.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did not wait for areas to be called to leave. We went straight down all the way and we parked at the cruise parking right across the street at the Galveston Port so we were in our car just as quick as we were on the boat.
