My husband loved it. I was okay until we hit some rough seas but we have scheduled again for Jan 2021. The same port, the same ship, and almost the same exact room.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
They have it down to a science at the port. Pull in and unload your luggage, then park. They have workers everywhere who direct you where to go next
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Typical buffet food. Not terrible. MDR was good.
BBQ place was decent and Guy’s burgers was always packed.
Most of the fruity drinks were too fruity and we eventually switched over to harder drinks. The edible straws are disgusting
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There is plenty to do. You can join in as much as you want, or you don’t have to join in at all. We did a lot of ocean and people watching

Children's Programs

We enjoyed this so much. Well worth the $6
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was always busy. Never saw any just standing around.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
An older ship but it was in decent shape. We had no issues. A cool theme
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was fine. Super small but nice. We picked this cabin specifically because it was across the way from deck 10’s smoking deck.
We had 2 lamps with 2 USB plugs in the lamps.
This was confusing to us. We had FTTF and we kept waiting for them to call us. They called deck 1 and 2 and finally we found somebody who said we could have already left. Otherwise, it was quick once we were released. I’d say 15 minutes until we were in our truck leaving
For future reference, On the night before debarkation, there is a flyer left in your stateroom explaining that if you have FTTF, where to go to disembark so you can get off first.
Thanks for the review! First time on Valor this coming April. Seventh cruise with Carnival though. I’m a smoker, so I appreciate the helpful smoking area tips.
If you like Carnival try the Conquest. We’ve been on 10 cruises and the Conquest is the only Carnival ship we’ve been on. One of our favorite cruises. Would definitely go on again. It looks like all their upcoming cruises are 3 or 4 days d sad l not sure how that would be. I heard the short cruises have too much drinking. We need a cruise with at least 5 nights or longer.
