Embarkation
5 out of 5
I hadnt been on a Carnival Cruise in 2 years, I could believe how speedy the embarkation experience was. Quick and easy. I arrived at 11 with a board time of 12:30 by 11:30 we were on the ship!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Gained 10 pounds the food was so delicious! We ate in the main dining hall for breakfast and dinner---all selections were scrumptious---I could hardly decide--so usually would end up getting two appetizers, 2 desserts and sometimes even two entree's. Lunch we had at the buffets---didnt find the BBQ station until the last day---OMG it was delicious!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Went to every comedy show---we loved the comedy hour---would even sit for 2-3 back to back shows, got in the adult whirlpool---great conversations! Jeesh went to lots of things....kept my day packed with things to do since we didnt have the kiddos...played bingo once--not a fan, played one game in the Casino---dont like loosing so

All areas clean and well maintained. Layout was good...dont think I learned the ship until the last day.
We flew in 3 days early and really enjoyed the city---from Bourbon Street, City Tours, Steam Boat cruise up the Mississippi, Comedy show, Excellent food, NBA game, Cafe Dumond to visiting the National WWII musem----had a blast
We did an excursion on our own----best time we ever had! Rented Mopeds for $50 each for all day---we literally drove the entire 65 mile radius of the Island and stopped at several free beaches and did shopping---it was awesome!
Did our own thing---caught a cab into the city $20 then found out they had a free shuttle bus, we then were dropped off downtown where we saw a double decker open tour bus---jumped aboard for only $5 pp and had a 40 min tour! Then when we returned there was a lady selling a 3 hour time at an all exclusive resort for only $25 PP cab ride to and from, free drinks, free food, beach front property, canoes, paddle boats all included---when we arrived who was there?? All Carnival folk who paid double for the visit. we were then dropped back off at the free shuttle center where we caught the free shuttle back
We were in no rush to get off. so we enjoyed our final breakfast in the dining room and casually got off with our luggage stood in minimal lines and were off very quickly! walked over to the outlet mall next door hung out there until we went to the airport!
