Best cruise with Carnival this far. This was my third time in itinerary but first time on Valor. We are already planning another one for next Summer. Kevin was awesome and made this cruise so much fun! Great food, drinks, staff! I'd give it higher than a 5 but it won't let me!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
I mean for real, hands down the easiest time I've ever had getting on a ship. We walked right in waited like 5 min in que line, through security and upstairs in 10 minutes. Got our cash accounts set up and on the ship before we were even suppose to check in (we were about 20 minutes early).

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Every single person on the staff was wonderful. Not one time did someone not help us when needed or direct us with a smile. Many of them told us about their home countries and their kids. They were all so wonderful. This was by far the best staff I've been privileged to be served by. Great team! See Juliashi and team in the Lincoln dining room.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was very clean. It is in need of some repair as outside had some rust and places that need to be repainted but it was very clean. A few times people would leave cups around elevators and such, empty plates and cans but as soon as you realized it was there a worker would come right behind and pick it up. Very impressed with how clean the ship was for the age....
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin 1446 back of ship and our steward was Gede. Kept our room clean and brought us plenty of towels. The first night our room was slightly warm but by second day it was just right. Good value for the price.
Ship tip
The ship was a little rocky and I actually got sea sick the second night from the rocking. Take dramamine or get the patches. Even if you don't normally have to use it, pack it anyway!
Progreso isn't my favorite port and our excursion got cancelled but we decided to go into town anyways and I'm glad we did. We took a bus tour of the city and I must say I'm so glad we did. They have really cleaned up the city around downtown since the first time I ever visited. We learned about their city and got to see some really cool places. It was 45 min to an hour and cost $9. It was very well worth it!
Do not care for the city itself. Maybe a tour would've been better but honestly I was scared out of my mind walking to the river walk and by the park. The city smelled really bad too and dirty.
Again, easy peasy...we were out of our room at 8am and to the shuttle 20 min later. I wish when I went on the Glory years ago it would have been so smooth. New Orleans definitely has it figured out!
