We had fun but don’t think we will sail out of New Orleans again. Carnival has made some changes that looks like they’re trying to save money.

Embarkation was extremely easy this time. Now they bring your sign & sale card to your cabin so you don’t have to wait in line for that.

Food and Dining

Main dining room was just ok this time. I was disappointed on Formal night. Usually it’s lobster night but now they charge you $20 extra to get lobster. There were a couple new eating options on the ship since we sailed last. Guys burger joint was awesome. There was a Burrito Bar that a lot of people said was really good but we didn’t eat there. I was disappointed in the Deli sandwich place. Before they carved the meat fresh and you could choose any type bread. Now the sandwiches are pre-made and you have to get whatever bread they’re made on.
Onboard Activities

Pool experience was good. Comedy shows were ok but the main show in the theater was amazing, great talent and all were great singers. I enjoyed the Fitness center, very nice.
Entertainment

Stage show was awesome, great talent. Cruise Director was great and very engaging with everyone. His assistant, Georgia was very nice as well.
Service and Staff

Another disappointment here, the last 8 times I’ve sailed on Carnival, the cabin steward would clean your room in the morning and come back at night to freshen up and turn the bed down. Now they give you an option to have morning or evening service. We received great service from the waiters in the main dining at night.
Ship Quality

Part of this problem is not Carnivals fault. There were a lot of people on this ship that had no respect for others. Some were very nasty, leaving food plates on the floor in the halls and in the elevators. Smokers smoking in places on the ship that weren’t designated smoking areas.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was very clean, bed was ok in terms of comfort. With putting 2 beds together you always have that hump in the middle, would be nice if it was one bed. Always nice to have a balcony.
Ship tip
Take a 12 pack of your favorite drinks and save on the beverage plan.
when we went on the pride this year they gave us the option of morning service, evening service, or both. Did they not give you the option of both? The pride service was exceptional
