Review summary

It was a nice cruise overall. It was our first time travelling with a child, so we went in knowing it would be different than our last booze cruise. The staff were wonderful and treated my daughter like a princess. I do wish the children's activities were scheduled a little better (we couldn't do the towel folding show because it was scheduled at the same time as the Dr. Seuss breakfast) but this would not keep us from booking again.

Embarkation

As quick as could be expected. It was probably 30-45 minutes from entering the terminal to boarding the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We did not like the main dining room for Elegant Night dinner. The food was very bland. Sea Day Brunch was amazing, as always. The Lido buffet was also pretty good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We spent most of our time in the pools, on the water slide, or in the arcade and they were all nice.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We did not go to a lot of the adult shows on this trip but the Playlist Productions shows were very entertaining.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
It seemed that there were only a couple of PG comedy shows on this trip (Triumph had one each night). Also, I think the children's shows could be schedule more appropriately. We were very much looking forward to the towel folding seminar but it was scheduled at the same time as the Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast.

Service and Staff

Our room steward, Rodel, was AMAZING. My daughter could not believe that he remembered her name every time he saw her!

Cabin / Stateroom

I didn't realize we were getting an upper pull man bed (that's my bad) and our daughter is too young to sleep on it, so that was disappointing. Overall, there were no complaints. We did figure out, after hearing complaints from other passengers, that if you leave the door open to the cabinet that holds the refrigerator, the fridge cools MUCH better.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

We have done Passion Island on both of our cruises and have not been disappointed yet. It's beautiful and the staff is amazing.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

I am just not a fan of this port. We took the free bus into town to do some shopping and the locals were so aggressive. Even after being told no, some of them would still grab my toddlers arm to put a bracelet or ring on. We only spent about 15 minutes there before going back to port.

Disembarkation

Very quick and convenient.
