Review summary

Overall We had a great cruise. Would do it again.

Embarkation

This was a smooth process as long as you have everything in order. Have your photo I.D. and birth certificate or passport in reach. It did not take long at all to board and everyone was pointing the way. Very easy. We parked at port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We had great service all over the ship. The main dining room food was great. I ate at the buffet one morning and it was just plain regular buffet food. Nothing great that I had. The breakfast burrito at The Blue Iguana was fantastic. I also had lobster rolls at the Sea Food Shack that was really good. The steakhouse was definitely worth the upcharge of 38.00 pp. My steak was cooked perfectly medium as requested. The experience was fun.

Onboard Activities

There was plenty to do and we did not do near everything that there was to do. I enjoyed my balcony overlooking the water the most. It was so relaxing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward Nathanial kept everything just as we asked and was very polite. He always called us by name and was very helpful. All service was great everywhere and the ship stayed very clean. We visited the Red Frog pub daily and was always greeted by name from Patrick. He was the best! He knew my husband would always order a bud light and he would always open one up when he walked in and sit aside a salt shaker for him because he requested it. Shantel was also a great bartender there.

Ship Quality

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

I hate to give a rate because I only experienced Nachicocum. The resort was beautiful but the food not so good. I can get better fajitas back home. Also our waiter did not look like he wanted to be there. I enjoyed snorkeling there very much but our boat broke down and had to be towed in. Things happen and I still had a good time. My husband thought they should have offered a little money back and he would have declined it but would have liked an offer or sorry or something. This day would have been better somewhere else.

New Orleans, Louisiana

If you find the right things to do it can be very fun. We took the hop on and off city bus tour and walked around the garden district. Very nice area. Also enjoyed listening to some live music on Bourbon one night and Frenchmen another night. Food everywhere is great!

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

This was a great port. We took a fishing trip with Randy Bowser YucatánSnook and I can’t give a good enough review. I don’t fish but my husband does and we both had a great time there with him. I recommend doing this.
