Review summary

The beaches in Cozumel that you're taken to need a little work. Don't be afraid to be a little adventurous as all the cab drivers know how to get you back to your ship. Take your time and explore the city and maybe find you a nice Sandy Beach on the opposite side of the island. The drink package may not be worth it as I never came close to the limit most days and my wife only drink maybe 2 drinks a day it only serves as piece of mine that you won't get a huge bill at the end. Eat in the cities as the food on the boat will leave you wanting.

Embarkation

Still a little confusing on where to go and when to go there but know different from am early morning at an airport.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
I was disappointed this time by the food. I believe my first cruise experience the food was much better. This time around even the scheduled dinner experience was very lackluster. Between been served burnt pork chops the first night to the not so flavorful steaks in the add on Scarlett steak house there only thing that still impressed was the service of the wait staff other than that my best meal might have been breakfast

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I took in as many activities as my body would allow. With the entertainment staff and cruise director TJ being the best I could possibly imagine. There were a few times in the middle of the day where all the activities were just sales pitches but I used those as nap times.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The musicians and performs were great providing some of the best memories from the cruise.

Children's Programs

Didn't bring children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the personnel I came in contact with were great. Especially my room steward I Wayan. His service and smiling face were welcoming and heart felt everyday .

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was nice.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The size was appropriate I just wish the bathrooms were bigger. Also being in the back of the boat you definitely felt the vibration from the engines any time you laid down. The bed was like a constant massage chair. The lack of channels to watch on the TV were kind of disappointing especially with the extremely old movies playing, no sports or up to date news.

Ship tip

Pick a room in the middle of the ship away from the hustle and bustle of you want to get any rest.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
It's New Orleans you can't beat the food.

Cozumel, Mexico

The beaches are very very Rocky do finding a more Sandy Beach would be nice. I did the jet ski excursion which was nice but the snorkeling wasn't as nice as everyone made it out to be. The water is beautiful but I'd probably suggest a better Beach other than those close to the docking terminal

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

Not enough time. The visit to the Mayan pyramids takes your whole day. It's a great experience but if you've come to relax in the sun I'd save this for another time. I wish I would've enjoyed Beach activities this day instead.

Disembarkation

It's a slow process. Kind of wish there was a way to place everyone in the dining facilities until it was there time to get off.
