Review summary

For what you pay you just can't beat going on a cruise for vacation. We can't wait to try other Carnival ships in the future.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We scheduled an arrival time and everything went very quick and smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was wonderful and so many options for free! There are places you have to pay for to eat on the ship but we never paid for any food or drinks (non-alcoholic) because the free options were more than enough.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We went to an Art Gallery auction, a free spa education and beauty demo, we worked out in the gym, checked out some clubs,...there was so much to do we just couldn't get to all the activities offered but loved all the options!

Entertainment

We were not able to go to any shows to to all the other activities

Children's Programs

We did not have any children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Are steward was Artha, our dining room waiters were Pocholo and Mark, and our Brunch waiter was William; I have never had better service than on this cruise...you really are treated like royalty, you are greeted by your name (how they remember everyone's names is unbelievable!) and the staff is just so fun and friendly! I just can't say enough about the service and staff...Carnival does an excellent job and choosing and training their staff. Shout out to Pocholo...Yeeaaaaah!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very luxurious!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was clean but small which was expected. Considering the size, it was actually fine and all our stuff fit...the inky thing i didnt care for was the twin beds being put together to make the king size bed we requested...the gap in the middle was very uncomfortable. Everything else was as expected.

Ship tip

Be prepared to feel dizzy if the waters are rough and stay on top of activity start times so you don't miss out on the ones you really want to do/see.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas Did not visit port

Arrived at port at schedule ship check in time so went straight to ship.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We did the buggy drive/snorkel excursion and enjoyed it but had an older buggy that was hard to drive and had to share it with another couple which we didnt know when we booked it but it was fun.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

4 out of 5
We did a lot of site seeing at port and downtown...you get alot of people trying to sell you things so be prepared to stand firm if you don't want to buy. People were nice and this is how they make their money so it wasn't bad, just constant. We would go back because some of the prices were great...some were over priced also so shop around.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We had a late checkout due to checked luggage so had to wait on boat but once it was our turn to leave everything went smoothly.
