Review summary

Couldve been so much better. I was completely disappointed in the Valor. In comparison to Carnivals other ships, the Valor was definitely a 3rd rate ship, with a first class price. The room that we stayed in was so large, the shower was cold and the temperature in the room was hot and the comfort of that room was terrible. I am a large woman and was sorely disappointed when there was under size chairs in the room for sitting and NO couch. Not happy at all about not having a suitable place to come and rest. The room was certainly large enough for a couch. I think it is time for us to use another cruise line for our yearly cruise. We became complacent in Carnivals cruise lines and our expectations were completely dashed with this cruise on the Valor.

Embarkation process was smooth had FTTF. I wish that the FTTF was used with debarkation.

Food and Dining

The main DR food was good, however the buffet was less than what we are acustom to on other Carnival ships. I felt as if we were eating at a Golden coral, food was merely a filler rather than a "cruise ship" food. Not happy about that at all.

The shows were mediocre. The dancers seemed as if they were the "B" team. The singing was not "show stopping" and the dancers didnt "awe" me like they usually did on your other cruises.

Children's Programs

Most activities were ok, however the magic show was definitely something they wanted to do, but there was NO ROOM in the area in was in. Should have been in the main theater.

Service and Staff

Our room steward was less than friendly. He acted as if we were putting him out, if we had to ask him something. I tried not to bother him unless I absolutely had too because of his demeanor. He was not happy and not once did I see him smile, not even in just passing in the hallway. This ships service seemed to be mediocre.

I think the common areas were neglected and effort was not put forth in making this ship shine. I have been a fan of carnival for years but this cruise has deterred me from using Carnivals ships in the future.

Sounds like user error. Interior rooms don’t have couches and only come with the one desk chair. Sounds like you should take a break from cruising!

Just went on the Valor this past June/July. We loved it. We had a couch in our room. Everything was fantastic!

Im watching a You tube video from the Valor, taken on the July 18th & I CANNOT wait. We will be the only ship in the ports from what I understand. After reading all the reviews, maybe you weren’t in a cruise frame of mind. Just reads like you have an axe to grind in your reviews. There’s even more recent videos as well, all saying your reviews are not accurate from others standpoint. It seems to me that the chair incident ruined your trip, which could have been remedied by asking for what you needed, but you became self conscious & upset over yourself. You took a lot of time to try to cast a pall over others upcoming experience out of spite? BTW I know the experience of chairs, I’ve lost over 120 lbs.

Been on the Valor 3 times and never been disappointed. Complaining about a large room? FTTF is good for whole trip, start to finish. Smh

FTTF is used for debarkation. We were personally very impressed with Valor back in May and preferred it over Breeze.
