Review summary

The cruise was awesome! It was our first time, and the staff was wonderful! There are some things we learned the hard way, but overall this has been the best trip of our lives...so far. We paid quite a bit of money for this cruise...so I've learned of you plan ahead and watch for great deals, it will be one of the best things to do. Cruising baby!!! Thank you Carnival!!

Book as much beforehand as you can. Figure how much you have to spend and have a ball. You can go on a cruise and pay for your trip and incur no more charges if that is your thing.

Getting a good deal is hit or miss. The more you cruise the better deals they offer you. We're going on our 16th cruise with Carnival and get good rates. Hitting Platinum helps a lot. All in all cruising is by far the best bang for your buck to travel abroad. Happy cruising.

The earlier you book the cheaper the rates. Cruise in the winter or fall, always better prices and nice to go somewhere warm. Go with an open mind and you will have a great time. We always book interior as we don't spend any time in the room except to sleep, shower and get ready. Have fun. Read the what to take onboard posts and enjoy your cruise.

We are headed to Galveston now for our first cruise. I too believe we’ve already spent a ton of money. Any tips for us newbies to avoid too many extra charges? Thanks in advance.
