Review summary

WE REALLY DID ENJOYR OURSELVES. THE OCEAN WAS ROUGH AND ROCKED THE SHIP MORE THAN WE WANTED TO FEEL IT ROCKING. THE SHIP WAS CLEAN, THE FOOD DECENT, THE STAFF WAS GREAT, THE ART SHOW OFF THE CHAIN. WILL HAVE TO REALLY RECONSIDER DOING ANOTHER ONE JUST WONT GO IN SEPT OR OCT.

Embarkation

THE LINES WERE LONG AND IT TOOK A WHILE TO GET ON BOARD. ONCE ON BOARD, THE SHIP WAS LOVELY, THE STAFF VERY ACCOMMODATING AND WELCOMING. THE OCEAN WAS ROUGH (NO FAULT OF THE CRUISE LINE) WHICH MADE FOR A LESS THAN APPEALING EXPERIENCE IN OUR FIRST 30 HOURS ON THE SHIP.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
LIDO DECK BUFFET WAS BLAND. THE DESERTS LOOKED AMAZING BUT TASTED FLAT AND BLAH. FOOD IN THE LINCOLN DINING HALL WAS VERY GOOD. THEY CLEARLY TAKE MORE EFFORT AND TIME TO PREPARE THAT FOOD.

Onboard Activities

THE ART SHOW WAS AMAZING! I FELT THE ACTIVITIES WERE LACKING OR MORE DESIGNED FOR PARTY CROWD.

Entertainment

WE DIDNT GO TO ANY OF THE SHOWS. NONE APPEALED TO US

Children's Programs

NO CHILDREN

THE STAFF IS ON FLEEK! THEY WERE AMAZING AND ON TOP OF THINGS AT ALL TIMES. I WAS SO IMPRESSED! LOVED RENATA IN THE LINCOLN DINING ROOM. WE ASKED FOR HER EVERY NIGHT BECAUSE SHE MADE US FEEL THAT WELCOMED AND TOOK GREAT CARE OF US. THANK YOU RENATA!

Ship Quality

VERY CLEAN. DON'T TAKE YOUR HAND OFF YOUR DRINK OR SOMEONE IS THERE TO CLEAN IT UP QUICK. LOL! SERIOUSLY, THE SHIP WAS SPARKLING AT ALL TIMES.

Cabin / Stateroom

LOVED OUR BALCONY ROOM! PLENTY OF ROOM TO NAVIGATE, AMPLE STORAGE FOR OUR THINGS. I LOVED THE BED (WANT ONE). OUR STEWARD (DON'T REMEMBER HIS NAME) WAS WONDERFUL AND TOOK GREAT CARE OF US. WE WERE ON DECK 8-257, PLEASE MAKE SURE HE GETS THE COMPLIMENT. HE WAS REALLY GREAT AND TOOK GOOD CARE OF OUR ROOM. LOVED THE TOWEL ANIMALS, ESPECIALLY THE MONKEY.

Ship tip

UGH! IT'S GALVESTON WITH MURKY WATERS. THE STORES ON THE STRAND SHOULD OPEN EARLIER THAN THEY DO. I WANTED TO GO SHOPPING BEFORE WE BOARDED AT 11 AND NONE OF THEM WERE OPEN OR WERE JUST OPENING..... DISAPPOINTED IN THE STRAND

Cozumel, Mexico

WATERS SO BLUE YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO LOOK AT TEXAS WATER AGAIN. PIER WAS WELCOMING AND MANY SHOPS TO CHOOSE FROM. LOVED IT!

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

WATERS NOT LIKE COZUMEL BUT STILL WAY BETTER THAN TEXAS GULF WATERS. THE BEACH AT YUCALPETEN WAS LOVELY AND MUCH NEEDED. THE TOUR GUIDE BRITTANY WAS AMAZING AND VERY INFORMITATIVE AS WELL AS FRIENDLY. LOVED HER!

Disembarkation

LINES SO SLOW IN GETTING OFF. WE ALREADY WERE THE LAST ONES OFF AND STILL HAD TO WAIT IN LONG LINES..... LEFT OUR ROOM BY 08:00 WASN'T CALLED TO LEAVE UNTIL 10:48 AND STILL THE LINES WERE LONG AND SLOW MOVING. IT WAS 12:13 WHEN WE WALKED OUT THE DOOR INTO THE PARKING LOT. THAT WAS CRAZY TO ME.
