Review summary

The service on this cruise was incredible. Frankie the cruise director was the absolute best. Loved all the shows that he performed in and he even gave my wife her last request while disembarking by giving her a requested ship on a stick. Personal interaction and making each guest feel first class treatment from the cruise director, stewards, wait staff, and all support staff behind the scenes. This was the best 5 day vacation my wife and I have ever had. The excursions to Chankanab  park in Cozumel and The Reef resort in Progresso were very enjoyable with great tour guides Jean and Anthony who met all our needs. Shopping in the pier side stores was also fun. The grand suite for a room is the only way to travel with a great balcony to relax on while cruising. I could not believe the size and area of the room and bathroom of these suites. The nightly dinners with the wait staff in the Washington dinning room with Alehandro as the maître Dee with waiters dancing entertainment was the absolute best. I found the ship to be in excellent interior condition wherever I travelled onboard. Noelito our room steward met our every need on the empress deck and everyone called us by our given name just like a friend throughout the ship, amazing us how they remembered our names after one meeting. I would definitely recommend the cruise to any first timers considering going and not knowing if they would like or the value of it. The ship was very smooth and operated superbly by the crew. My wife is a know motion sickness person but never once felt queasy. Kudos to the crew for a great cruising. The food was good in the buffet and great in the dinning room. Guys hamburgers were absolutely the bomb. The only criticism I have of the whole experience is more of a suggestion to have carnival spend a night in Cozumel to allow us more time in the beautiful beaches and water. The boarding areas at the drop off needed additional personnel to direct arriving cruisers direction to the proper areas. Overall I would rank this as an excellent adventure and will go again soon on a longer one. Frankie thanks again for a simple act of kindness to personally getting the trinket for my wife who wanted this for our little grand daughter. Chow for now, Boop!

Thanks for the review, we will be staying in cabin #7288 this august 21-26. I'm glad to hear there were no problems.

Reading this puts my mind at ease.. our first cruise is on the Valor and in a Grand Suite. We've been nervous that we are spending money on something we won't like. But everything looks like it's so much fun!
