Review summary

We did this cruise for Spring Break 2017.  The whole family joined us.  Grandparents, Aunts and my little family of 4.  There was something for everyone to enjoy.  My favorite thing is that there are no agendas, only fun and good family time.  My girls (7 & 8 years old)  Loved the slide and the 24x7 soft serve.  We enjoyed the Dive In Movies on the last night (Trolls & Moana) We watched a fun and lively show in the Ivanhoe Theater one night.  Our favorite meal was at Scarlett's Steakhouse but most of the food was pretty good.  We liked the Guy's Big Bite Hamburgers and Pizza Pirate Pizza the best.  We didn't love all the food in the Lincoln Room (sit down dinner dining) but the bread was good and my daughter liked the Cesar Salad.  The rooms were a decent size for a cruise ship, bigger than our room on the Norwegian Cruise we did a few years ago.  My girls did not like Camp Ocean and only went one time for 2 hours.  They would not go back, they said it wasn't that fun and that the leaders were not that nice.  That was really disappointing because my husband and i would have enjoyed some time to explore the ship or relax without them.  We did 2 really fun excursions.  The Chankababb Snorkeling and Sea Lion Adventure in Cozumel and the All Inclusive resort in Progresso.  We didn't love Progresso but our excursion made the most of it.  The town itself is pretty sad but the host of our excursion told us a lot about the town and the wild life and it was an interesting 40 min ride to the resort.  Overall I would recommend this cruise.  It was inexpensive, even at Spring Break and we had LOTS of fun!!!!

My girls only went once to Camp Ocean. They did not enjoy it or want to go back. I was disappointed about that because there were some things my husband and I didn't get to do because they were with us.

It was nice and we had turndown service 2 times a day and that was helpful because we had a bunk for our girls and they made up and torn down their beds daily. I think that the décor and fabric could use a little updating, they looked a little worn. Overall though, there was good storage and a decent amount of space for a cruise ship.

Ship tip

Try Scarlett's Steakhouse for a nice dinner. My mom and sister loved the Serenity Deck and don't forget to take one dressy outfit for dinner. We got lots of nice pictures on the dressy night :)
