Review summary

I had sailed on the Carnival Magic 4 1/2 years ago when it was first introduced into the Carnival fleet. I felt the dining ambiance was much better; people did not show up in flip flops and shorts and ball caps like I experienced on this cruise. It was ridiculous!! I thought there was some sort of dress code but you would have never known. The food was also just " so so." The buffet was nothing to brag about and even the dining room food was okay. The method they used to seat our large group was unacceptable. 10 at 1 table 2 at another and 2 in the other dining room. I had specifically  made arrangements to ensure we were to all dine together but it didn't happen! And of course once on board it could NOT be changed.  The few specialty places that were on the ship had such limited hours that it was "hit or miss" if you could find one open.

Rooms were nice; staff was great. The ship itself was clean. Entertainment was ok. My husband and I spent most of our time listening to the live music in the bar/lounges and dancing. They also cut the cruise to 4 days with 1 stop in Cozumel only due to fog in the port.
