Review summary
The best part of the cruise was after we got off the ship. Getting off was like being on the long island expressway during rush hour. Getting on was smooth. Our inside cabin was spacious for an inside cabin and afforded sufficient storage. Cabin steward was excellent and supplied our needs. One could compare the cabin to a Motel 6. Dinner was only fair. It was like eating in a cafeteria with waiters. Food was good and presented well. Shore excursions were extremely over priced. It was better to just take a local cab to where you wanted to go. The biggest flop was the entertainment. The stage shows were horrible, both the dancing and singing as well as the production as a whole. The r-rated comics were acceptable, but their act was only 30 minutes with a 30-minute break between. If the lounge was full, with more than 20 waiting to get in, would have to vacate and get to the back of the line. This was poor planning. Has a reservation for the Carnival Magic in April, 2017, but cancelled, and cost me $100.00 penalty with . This fiasco plus our prior one some years ago on the Victory has convinced me to stay with RCC.
