Review summary

My cruise overall was good because we made it that way. If you can't enjoy a cruise something is wrong. I was disappointed in Carnival many times though. I have been with Carnival many times before and it was fine. I'll give some examples of the shortcomings. My security was in question a few times on this cruise and it NEVER had been before. We had 2 Medical Emergencies which is fine but there was something suspicious about that too. Buffet food was never hot.....Warm? Not really. Up charges in the dining rooms. Not much food available if you didn't eat in the dining rooms in the evenings. Lousy cruise directors. Now some positives..... Good ports of call. Good breakfasts. Good stateroom and service. Guys Burgers is wonderful. Good embarkation and debarkation. I guess the biggest concern for me was our safety

What safety concern would there really be other than the ship crashing into an iceberg? There might be a fight between two drunk cruisers because one guy messed with another's woman but what else could happen that would call for Huge concerns? I'm leaving in 22 days on Valor and regardless if anything happens or not, I'm gonna enjoy it because guess what, I'm away from home and the ordinary!!

The point is mrsb, ALL cruise lines have things happen on them. Carnival is as safe as the next. There is no need for you to come here bashing Carnival. You no longer sail with Carnival so wouldn't it be best if you keep your negative comments to yourself?

mrsb, will you marry me? I like your sass. But obviously we'd be taking separate vacations. I'm 67 years young, 2 illegitimate children (possibly 3 but she never got back to me after the pregnancy test), I collect shampoo bottles from hotel rooms and my day isn't complete with out a tall, refreshing glass of Metamucil.

Yes it can happen anywhere some more than others and I stopped cruising with Carnival .

mrsb-3 size of the security person is not a worry as they are trained to handle that. I am 5'3" tall 130lbs. and i work in a local bar as security or bouncer as some call me. in the 5 years that i did it there was only one incident that i could not handle the lady. and yes a lady not a man. it did not take long for others to come help me to take her out and hand her over to the cops. so to me i am not worried at all. Carnival will make sure there ships are secure so they do not have major law suits. go enjoy your cruise

Did you ask them how 140 lb security guard can handle 300+lbs person that is drunk and thinks that the ship is his/hers ?

With everthing going on in this world. I did already called carinval and asked about are safety. They said first the are 100 percent about safety.They have a staff they must make sure they are stafe first.they are not going to let nothing happened to anyone.

We saw plenty of security officers last month. Never felt anything except safe and happy. Very happy.
