Review summary

We had an awesome time on the cruise. We had great service and couldn't ask for a better first cruise experience for my husband. We enjoyed all the ports but wish we had more time in Costa Maya and less time in Belize. We also had friends that joined us on the cruise. It was great spending time with them and strengthening that bond.

Very clean and our steward was top notch!

Ship tip

We enjoyed many different aspects of the ship. We really enjoyed the shows I'm the Ivanhoe and also the adult decks, very relaxing and quiet.

We didn't really feel safe leaving the port and exploring on our own like we did in other ports. The thing that told us it wasn't safe was the iron gates and armed guards. We stayed within the port, did some shopping and ended up back on the ship shortly after lunch. Our suggestion is to either stay within the port or book an excursion.

We were not able to make it to downtown because of time constraints but the locals encouraged us to explore the downtown area and the lighthouse.
