Review summary

This was our first cruise and we really enjoyed it! We will definitely be cruising again.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
The procress went smoothly but the one-hour long line mostly in the heat wasn’t great.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room was excellent, the pizza and burgers were great, and the buffet was OK.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Liked the Thriller dance class, towel folding and Q and A with Simon. Wished there had been more similar activities on the first sea day.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Enjoyed the shows, but would have liked the Wonderful World show to be more culturally appropriate (not having white dancers portraying people of color).

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
12-year-old enjoyed Club C and easily made friends.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Luis, Franklin and Joel served us in the main dining room. They were excellent and we enjoyed getting to know them. Our room steward Mohammad was also very good. Never had a bad experience with the staff.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Obviously the Truimph is an older ship and at times some areas could have been cleaner.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were offered this cabin as an upgrade and we were so glad we took it. Having a window was great and the space was perfect for our family of three.

Ship tip

First day at sea is alot abour selling: excursions, shopping experiences, bingo, etc
