Review summary

Overall the cruise was very enjoyable. I do wish there were some type of church service available on the ship on Sunday. Something would be better than nothing.

It was very quick as we seemed to just zip thru the process with no hold ups.

We enjoyed the buffet on the Lido deck and dinner in the dining room. The selections were so varied that there was always something everyone liked.

The shows were great and bands that played in the various different areas were always good.

Service was great from everyone we encountered. Everyone was always very friendly an helpful. Our room steward, Bukhar, was great. He quickly came to our aid when we thought we had locked ourselves out of the safe deposit box.

The common areas were always clean. Not once did I even think anything could have been cleaner.

I loved the roominess of the suite. Our room steward, Bukhar, kept it immaculate for us. Loved the towel animals in the room each night.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Cozumel has a lot to offer. We went to the Mayan Cacao and tequila factories. Had a great time. Luis was our guide along with Hector who was our driver. Luis was VERY knowledgeable about the entire area as well as every aspect of the excursion. Totally enjoyed it!

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

Progreso was not as enjoyable as Cozumel. We did not do an excursion there. It did not have as much to offer compared to Cozumel. Little shopping.

Disembarkation

Debarkation was fantastic. Totally enjoyed having the option to carry off all my own luggage in order to disembark earlier than if we had checked it.

Many years ago, when I first started cruising (in 1995), we sailed on an old (now defunct cruise line) very traditional cruise ship, and they had church services.

They would then have to accommodate all religious faiths because if they have church service for Christians then they have to have one for Jewish, Muslims etc. That won't happen.
