Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The ship needs to be shut down having the carpet being wet in the hallways on the floors the entire time with a musky mildew smell was just unacceptable. Then you had blowers all down the hallways trying to dry it out some was awful. I been on many ships including other Carnival and this is by far the worst. Even had water dripping from above while standing on the elevator area.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was great even though no refrigerator but if we could have at least had a bucket with ice would have been nice

We were on Triumph Dec 9-14 with adult family members in adjoining cabins on deck 6. We had no issues with our two cabins other than some slow drainage in one shower that was fixed the same day I notified room steward of the problem. The CD and her Fun Squad was one if the best I've experienced on any cruise line. We saw no water dripping or wet carpets and thought the ship was in good condition considering its age. We lived the shows with the live band and food was very good. We took along an insulated cooler to take our soft drinks onboard and room steward refilled it with fresh ice every day and removed the water from melted ice. I hope your next cruise ship meets more of your expectations.

Sorry to hear. But you just had to ask for the bucket of ice if needed. They would have been happy to accommodate. We just sailed on the Triumph and had no complaints. Yes, she is an older ship. But the vacation is what you make of it. If you let the little things bother you, you will always be disappointed. Triumph is scheduled for dry dock in 2019. That is when Carnival Valor and Glory will be brought to New Orleans.

We are going on it in the spring, too late to cancel. Will go with a open mind.
