Review summary

Besides getting food poisoning from the dining room we enjoyed everything else. I would suggest not going during hurricane season. Make sure y'all go to every show that you can. They are all amazing

We embarked out of New Orleans and everone that works at the port really went out of their way to make it as easy as possible for us. The process was very quick and efficient.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
It was our first cruise. We left out of New Orleans on August 19. The weather was not the best but we knew what we were potentially getting ourselves into during hurricane season. We had an amazing time regardless of the weather. The only complaint I have is I got extremely sick on our last day. I ate in the dining room and I have never in my life felt so bad. I got food poisoning and thank God it happened our last day so I could actually enjoy our time. We have been home for 3 days now and I still cannot go to work because of this. But all things considered I would definitely do it again. I suggest eating anywhere but the dining room. You have plenty of options so it shouldn't be a problem. I wasn't the only one either. I heard a few people talking about getting sick from eating in the dining room. So guys if you want to enjoy your vacay please avoid it at all costs!!!!

Onboard Activities

The pools on board were just ok. They were a little on the small side and filled up quickly. I suggest going in the morning that way you are guaranteed to get a little time in there without 500 other people crowding you. The casino was great. I was actually lucky here. My first night I won close to $200. All together I walked with over $450 so I would call that awesome in my book.

Entertainment

Guys try your best to make every single show on the ship. Every one that we made it to was nothing short of spectacular.

Service and Staff

Our steward was absolutely amazing. He was efficient and remembered our names. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Bless his ❤ but I cannot remember his name. We were in cabin 1023. His name started with an H. I'm so sorry that I am so terrible with name's. Also the lady that works in the coffee shop right outside of the casino was amazing. If I could take them both home with me I would. They deserve a raise and promotion.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was very clean. Our steward went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to make it feel like home. We had w twin beds that were pushed together. Our pillows and bedding were kept clean and they were extremely comfortable. So much so that we are ordering a set for our home.

Ship tip

Avoid the dining room. I have never in my life been so sick before. I am miserable. I can't sleep at night because of the stomach cramps. I've been throwing up since Thursday and the fever and chills are horrendous. It's just not worth being this sick.

The beaches here were definitely a disappointment. They were dirty and the people that are trying to sell you merchandise just do not give up. They hassle the hell out of you.
