Review summary

Over all the trip was extremely memorable, we loved our room service and waking up to coffee every morning definitely spoiled us. We will be planning our next cruise very soon. Unfortunately though we are from Corpus Christi so when we docked we found out we couldn't go home cause they were evacuating our home town. So we stayed a few extra days in new Orleans.

The shows were pretty amazing, especially the comedians and the magic shows, however I felt a lot of the activities were geared towards an older crowd. That is the majority of cruise goers, but the main thing for 20 year olds seemed to be gambling and drinking.

Denys was our room steward and he was the most amazing person! He was so kind and awesome and he went out of his way all the time for us.

Oh we got an awesome place to sleep. It was a great part of the ship to sleep on and it was a far walk for most activities, but the was great for our sleeping situation.

Ship tip

Bring ear plugs and an eye mask. My husband doesn't normally snore but he was so absolutely exhausted each night that it was like sleeping next to bear.

We made the mistake of getting a cruise driver out side of port and he was very helpful and hospitable, but at the very end he wouldn't let us leave until he paid him again even though we paid him after each stop we made. The taxi ended up costing us $150 and we only did free stuff like tequila sampling.

We got rained out, so we ended up just drinking and my husband got terrible food poisoning. Don't do the Progresso Photographic excursion.
