Review summary

This was my families first cruise and we enjoyed ourselves pretty much. I was pretty surprised by the lack of child supervisor on the ship.Kids were always running around on the ship loud, rude, annoying, and it really got on nerves by the last day. There should be better guidelines on adults supervising their children or cruise lines are gonna lose business.

My sisters and I went on a cruise on the valor in June of this year and there were some kids but not many. The parents did control them on our trip. We are going again in August of this year. I don't mind kids, but if the parents are not in control of them it can effect others trip and make a great trip bad real quick. I don't feel it's the cruise line fault either it is simply bad parenting.

carnival doesn't have an adult only cruise

Next0time    7 years ago

You do know that there are certain ships for adults and an adult only area?🙄

exactly sunshine19ever. don't understand people when they complain about the kids. it's not the cruiselines responsibility to watch and control the kids. i have seen them ban kids from coming back to the water slides if they misbehave so crew does the best they can.

Only 3 stars for rotten kids??Like that is Carnival's fault that parents let their kids run wild???? Go on ANY ship when kids are out of school and you will have the same problem!!!!'

I also don't notice the kids. But we typically eat in the main dining room, and chill in the smoking area for my husband's cigar -- not kid friendly places or as packed as the buffet.

This will be our first peak season cruise on Saturday, too! I'm just mentally preparing for everything to be more crowded, including excursions and beaches. We have a balcony to escape to, when needed!

We thought about doing a premium cruise. But for the price I can do 2 or even 3 Carnival cruises instead of 1. I'll just load up on Valium and be in my medicated happy place. Problem solved....lol

I only feel sorry for the doctor having to get woken up.

The more premium cruise lines do not have as many kids as does off season and longer cruises.

poor thing...

mason2x    7 years ago

17? Geez sounds like a winner of the ultimate gene pool.

travelbyshonda    7 years ago

They did clean good. Had to wake up doctors. The kid was 17 years old! I know kids need vacations but some parents could do better. No way we would go to sleep and let our daughter run free as a teen.

mason2x    7 years ago

Ewwww...hope they sanitized everything. (notice my lack of concern for the kid).

tooteebug    7 years ago

woooooow that's ridiculous

travelbyshonda    7 years ago

You can't always walk away. These kids were playing hide and seek running everywhere on elevators. Same kids one busted their leg open running on the pool deck. It was past 1 am and we were enjoying a movie. I don't mean to be graphic but blood was everywhere! Took over a hour for adults to come.

tooteebug    7 years ago

just walk away! just walk away....lol

mason2x    7 years ago

Oh man....you got me worried. My patience only goes so far.

travelbyshonda    7 years ago

I totally agree. Our first two cruises were in September and great. Did July last year higher rate and kids everywhere running wild. This year back to September. I can't believe how some folks just let their kids cut loose.

triumph doesn't have a serenity deck though 😨

pabwright    7 years ago

The Serenity deck is the place to be, Adults only.

picalo    7 years ago

my name is Tommy, I'm 8 years old...I'm on the same cruise with mason...I can't wait!

tooteebug    7 years ago

yes I agree...

taacman    7 years ago

No manners or supervision at home then none on the ship. I find many adults act like the kids on a ship no manners.

tooteebug    7 years ago

kids ALWAYS act wild lol

tooteebug    7 years ago

Oh no lol I'm scared...good luck friend!

mason2x    7 years ago

I usually do too. But this cruise on Saturday will be my first peak season cruise. I'll find out how tolerate I am of other people's kids.

tooteebug    7 years ago

I go on off season...kids really get on my nerves so I go right when school starts or is in...lol

mason2x    7 years ago

Happens on almost every cruise I've been on. I just avoid places where the kids are most likely to be. Keep in mind that YES someone else's brat can be annoying BUT they have to go home with them. You don't. So just mentally block them out or causally knock them over and loudly say EXCUSE YOU. lol
