Review summary

My favorite parts were comedy shows and fine dining. The Triumph seemed to be much smaller than other Carnival crueses I went on or it made it seem smaller due to layout. Despite mediocre food, stale bacon, extremely small several pools and people on top of each other the price was much higher than previous carnival cruise lines I went on. I hated that alcohol was extremely expensive there and when you receive ticket to sign it had total and tip line on it. I left tip every time only to find out the tip was included in price already. I pulled my receipts on carnievalcruisehub app and there it was, broken down for you. I paid 27 dollars for bucket of 4 beers and left a tip. The receipt on app said: beer 23 dollars, tip almost 5 dollars and I left another tip because no one tells you about it. WTF. Also, bartender made a mistake a couple of times and we didn't notice untill later. he charged us for expensive coctails that were a few dollars more expensive vs. cheap beer we actually bought. For the money I spent on cheap rooms and overcrouded ship I could have went on overseas vacation and spent less. Oh, and I found condoms in my room, earrings and hair. Yuck. They take gratuities automatically from you otherwise I would not live anything for that cleaning crew. Basketball court was too small and always full. The ping pong table was outside and wind carried balls overboard every time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Fine dining was good, the other areas had EXTREMELY large lines at all times, food was stale, and had hard time to find place to sit.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Small basketball court was always full, ping-pong table was outside and balls were carried by wind overboard every time (other carnival crueses ping pong tables had large overhang and set deep into ship), not much to do for teens at all

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Only comedy shows were worth watching and only one of the comedians was really funny, nothing much offered so I am glad I brought board games with me

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
looked like there was a lot to do for small children, but nothing much for teens

Service and Staff

5 out of 5

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
segmented and overcrowded with bars, tables, chairs and people. Could hardly walk anywhere without stepping on toes or being stepped on

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Pretty large cabin, but for the money i paid I expected at least that

Ship tip

One tip is to go with other carnoval ships because I know I am not going on Triumph ever again

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

Cozumel, Mexico

Then again, maybe it's like Disney. A continuation of "the French Quarter Experience"

Unfortunately, others have also said everything she experienced; but, the Triumph price was "much higher" than other Carnival ships?

chalk it up to being a first time cruiser n move on. next time you will know what u r doing. they have great ships n crew. sometimes some crew members r off their game. pay attention n try again.

I agree with the previous comments. You obviously didn't even read the website when booking. EVERYTHING literally has a tip automatically added.

Ok, dirty room...kinda gross. But the gratuity part on your drinks is really not Carnivals fault. It's standard. Even the all you can drink package has prepaid gratuity added. Even the miss ringing if you had of actually checked your receipts as you got them could have been fixed.

Next time research the ship prior to booking. Yes Triumph is one of the smaller ships. On the receipt you sign when you're purchasing beverages it says "additional tip". It you want to tip above the 15% you can add it on. It sounds like you didn't read the receipt. Next time research prior to booking.
