Review summary

We had a good time on this cruise..it was actually the smoothest cruise we have been on and I've been on 10 or more.  The only problem we had was with the food in the dining room being burnt a couple of nights. It just wasn't worth sending it back.  Never had that problem on previous cruises. Also would like to see different 5 day cruises leaving out of New Orleans. The only reason we have taken this particular one is because its the only 5 day out of NO.  Progresso is really not a good place to visit.  Would LOVE to see a different port.

We signed up for a guaranteed cabin hoping for an upgrade but didn't get it. The cabin was ok for us.

I was on this ship Aug 1st. I agree, the food in the MDR was not as good as on other Carnival ships. How do you have duck that is dry? The chocolate melting cake was always overcooked, cooked all the way! The best thing I had all week was a broiled pork chop. This the only cruise where I never ate at the buffet.

Love, love, love Progreso! Friendly people. 15$ massages on the beach, great open air markets, sidewalk cafes, and beautiful beaches.

I rarely bother getting off the ship in Progreso anymore.

did that cruise on the 20th. It was the smoothest seas and cruise I've been on. the only time we felt movement was while turning. Agreed, Progresso isn't a great port. offer some variety and I might cruise carnival more often.
