Review summary

Great- The Crew! Our steward and head waiter and MDR staff were amazing                      people.

Great- Our Balcony. It was so pleasant.

Great-Our bed. Comfy and I slept fairly well.

Great- The shows we attended. Magic Show, Burlesque Show and Comedian. All                Very excellent.

Good- Drinks- They were plenty strong (we had CHEERS! package) but the bars                were understaffed at times and waiters were few and far between in some                areas.

Good- Food. The food was mid-grade for the most part. Some was super. Some                  food was meh. Pizza Pirate...24 hour Pizza. Was Yuck! Don't bother.

Bad- Exactly one outlet in the entire room (zero in the bathroom) Not even a double          outlet. One place to plug anything in. [=] .....Not [==]. Take adapters and                    extension cords.

Bad- No Fridge in room. (no where to plug it in anyway=)

Bad-Nickel and Dime you constantly

Bad-The Muster Station Drill-Huge waste of time- I heard zero instructions on                   emergencies. July 9th in NOLA and Humidity was palatable. One lady had to           leave the drill, she could not catch her breath. They held us way too long. And         yes i know it is mandatory.

Bad-The "Fun Finds Shopping Show". Huge sales pitch about Tanzanite and Diamonds International. We purchased a coupon book (only $25.00) due to the booklet having several coupons for free items that you get at shops in Cozumel.. Guess what??? You can get any of those same free items with no coupon book!!

BAD- The whole Progresso Debacle. Everyone we spoke to, who worked for Carnival about the subject of the Port of Progresso told us it is a terrible place to go. The items for sale, the excursions, the "vendors". So why go there for a port day at all??

Loved our bed and the balcony. Loved our steward. No where to plug in any devices. It is 2016 and people have stuff that needs charged.

Ship tip

Don't over pack. It is easy to take too much stuff on vaca!

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

We were there the day after 2 officers were killed in Baton Rouge. We ended up driving into an area that was having protests (our fault). The time in NOLA was stressful

Steven112, I thought you could only plug in a shaver in the bathroom plug...have we been bamboozled?

I am afraid having a balcony spoiled us. I loved it.

We asked for a fridge but were told it is for people with special needs like medicines that must be refrigerated.

I asked our steward if there was any Hidden Outlets and she said no, except where the TV is plugged in, some people somehow rig that outlet to use, but it isn't easy. She told us to "go for it" but we didn't have any adapters that would fit there. We had a little schedule. Who could charge and when. But i HAD to use a fan every nite. That was not optional. I would forego charging my tablet to run my fan!! Next time I will take some of those battery "quick charge" devices. That is what the teens in the cabin next to us did and they never ran out of charge. Kids are so friggin smart these days.

If you are assigned to the Paris dining room, my hope for you is that you are given Camilo, Hardy and Wayhudi ( the awesomest group of waiters) Camilo is the head waiter, unless of course they have been reassigned =) and he is completely fun. And he loves to sing!! Great voice.

Also i paid for my boyfriend to go on the onboard excursion "Behind the Fun".

He said it was cool. Seeing where the crew lives, seeing the kitchen, meeting the captain. He works on the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers and i figured he would like seeing a ship from the inside out.

Enjoy your Cruise. It is what it is.. and it is fun. Perfect.??..nope...but what is?

I asked for a mini fridge for my cokes. And I received one within 20 minutes. I had a simple ole ocean view.

Some rooms have refrigerators like a balcony, or suites etc. However you can request one especially if you have a baby or medicines that need to be refrigerated sometimes for a small fee. There is a plug in the bathroom on the top right corner for a electric razor and such. It does turn off when you turn the light off.

I think suites are the only cabins with refrigerators but not 100%

Are refrigerators only in suite cabins?

Any ship I've every been on has had an outlet in the bathroom and one by the desk. I always charged my phone with the one in the bathroom.

Every Carnival ship (Dream, Magic, Triumph and Freedom ) all had fridges. And its a saftey issue about the outlets in bathroom. Our counter top always looks like spaggiti(no spell ck) trying to charge everything, but we manage some how.

Our ocean view balcony suite had a fridge on the Triumph and the Elation.

As far as I'm aware you can't have plug sockets in bathrooms Never heard of a fridge in a cabin on any boat U have the muster still for the main reason that you would know where to go incase needed.
