Review summary

The cruise was fine. The food at the buffet was horrible and the lines were just as bad. Way too long of a wait for bad food. Although, Every dinner in the dining room was great. Alexander, Daniella and Jovorka at the alchemy bar were phenomenal. I'd book another cruise just because of them. I was not impressed with the entertainment. I wish the piano bar actually had an entertainer that played the piano instead of using pre recorded music. The casino was way too full of cigarette smoke. I could rarely find a place without smoke. My clothes reiked of smoke when i left. I wish icould have spent more time in the casino. Overall, everything was fine. Would I book another carnival cruise?. ...no. I will do another cruise line.

We also hated the nasty cigarette smoke in the casino area... but we LOVED Alex and Daniella at the Alchemy!

Go on princess or celebrity. I recommend those to everyone. With cruising, you get what you pay for... Carnival is cheap and that's what you are gonna get on those ships. Princess and celebrity are way more elegant and pleasant to be on. I walked by 2 smokers the whole time I was on the Celebrity Reflection. And the casino was a non smoking casino. Food was fantastic everywhere we went! Even the buffet. Not long lines either. Pay a little extra for the better cruise lines... You won't regret it.

I enjoyed the Triumph immensely. Sorry to hear you were unprepared for the state of the casino, but as the other poster said, maybe Disney would be better. Most ships will have smoking in the casino

Sounds like you need to go to Disney. People smoke. On most cruise ships. Were you expecting Frank Sinatra?
