Good Cruise

Sail Date: September 29, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

I thought the overall appearance seemed a little dated but was impressed with the service, excellent food quality in the restaurants and the shows were better than expected.

Pros: excursions, food

Cons: bars, decor

Recommends Carnival Triumph? Yes!

Ship Quality
decor was a little dated
Entertainment
we went to 2 shows and thought that the illusionist and comedian at the early shows were very good. The musicals were just OK
Food and Dining
we ate a lot in the the sit down dinning area and was very pleased with the quality of the food and service
Cabin / Stateroom
we had a balacony and was impressed with the size of the room
Service and Staff
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Highly recommend renting a Hobbie cat if you can sail. The beach was a little crowded and had a "staged" feel to it
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
We went on the St. John's snorkeling excursion and we highly recommend this. It was an amazing creation of God! Absolutely beautiful!!!
Don't Miss: St. John's trunk bay snokeling
Grand Turk Island
We loved the horse back riding. Riding the horses in the water was quite an adventure! Some may have felt it was a little scary but I thought it was awesome!
Don't Miss: Riding horses in the water
San Juan, Puerto Rico
seeing the old San Juan area was the best part
