Totally enjoyed our cruise and must admit that the Sunshine was better than expected,  very nicely redone, and we had great meals, great service and most of the staff we interfaced with was great as well. 

The boarding on the ship was really held up due to an unfortunate emergency aboard the ship before arrival.....After boarding the ship was nothing but spectacular...I even won a jackpot on her voyage...My grandson enjoyed the water slides and climbing ropes...The staff treated us like royality....

This was a wonderful vacation! We enjoyed the new modern ship all the food and the entertainment. Nasseau was beautiful !! We are ready to book our next cruise with cruiseonly.com . 

Employees were great, entertainment was great and also the food.The cabin was very clean and was kept clean all the time we were on the ship. The housekeeping staff were very impressive, the would call you by your name and great you everytime the came in contact with you..

Emma, the cruise director goes the extra mile to insure that that your cruise is extraordinary. From the housekeeping staff to the food servers to the entertainers, Carnival Sunshine is  a great ship for all cruisers young or old.

CRUISE AN PORTS  WERE FINE . CHARGES ON BILL THAT WERE PUT ON  BY THE CASINO WE HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED ON THE OTHER 13 CRUISES. STANDING IN LINE FOR OVER 3 HOURS WAS NOT GOOD FOR THE 4 OF US.

The serenity deck is the place to be! Wonderful Staff! I loved the sincere SMILES! I staff members were so helpful to those with disabilities. This act of kindness really caught my attention. The staff really kept in mind the safety of the passengers because every spill was cleaned up immediately. The restrooms were ALWAYS clean. The Staff remembered names so quickly! It was my goal to relax and enjoy the ship. I succeeded in doing that because of Carnival's planning. There was always something going on! 

Sunshine met most of my expectations. Food was good, breakfast was great, as was Guy's Burgers and the 24 hour pizza. Every Carnival personnel was very friendly. My only complaint was that smoking was allowed in the casino. My wife and myself were unable to play roulette or slots. Really difficult to breath. I plan to sail again on the Sunshine in March 2017.

We had a great time relaxing! the crew was very froendly and greeted us, by name, wherever we went. 

We loved the food, and when we got to Nassua we found this little restaurant, Athena Cafe, that we had dined at on our first cruise to Nassau.

Had a great time! The staff is so accommodating and friendly.  Did not like anytime dinning.  We spoke to the maitre d who changed our reservations to 6pm. Dinner was my favorite part of the day, we tried many new dishes and desserts.  Many of the staff called us by name and always asked how we were doing, if we needed anything, and how our day was. 

It was something we had never done before and I must say it was so fun and such a wonderful experience I highly recommend a balcony room we really enjoyed that and you must book a massage please treat yourself  we just had a blast loved my bartender Isabel in the sunshine atrium bar she was the best and the cruise director was awesome and fun just can't say enough hope to get to cruise again soon 

We enjoyed the carnival cruise line. lots of activities for all ages, wonderful staff. cruise director Emma made the entire thing even better ! the food was excellent. we really enjoyed the shows & comedy club. 

Crew and Staff were good.  Room was always clean.  Food and Comedy Shows good.   

Night Club area needs major work. playing lots of older older music which is fine but during night club time play today's hits 

The Adult swimming pool was cold the first 5 days. finally fixed it and made it warm last 2 days.  

Only 3 hot tubs  for 3500 Passengers.  need some improvements 

Smoking area next to kids area not very smart.  Casino area very smokey. really bad. if not a smoker you pretty much cannot play.  

Ship was very crowded.  

We had an overall wonderful experience.  The crew, the food and the cleanliness of the ship were amazing.  The Serenity area was the best yet that we have experienced.  If we have any complaint, it is the failure to enforce any minimum basic attire in the main dinning rooms.  One evening the table next to us was occupied by a group that were dressed as if they were about to do yard work on a hot summer day, baseball style caps included. We find such trashy attire to be an insult to other passengers not to mention the ship staff who are trying to provide memorable dining experiences.

The cruise ship was delayed 4 hours due to illness of a passenger. We had left our last port stop when suddenly we had to go back to Nassau to drop off a sick passenger. When we finally got back to Norfolk we were delayed 4 hours or more during debarkation. When we were delayed they close the food lines early and we were not allowed to get food during the delay. I did not like that . My husband is diabetic. I hope this information helps in alerting the ship director to better serve the passengers in times of unseen changes.

had a good time, boat rocked way more than any other I've ever been on, even outside the room. but the food and atmosphere was great. staff was friendly and organized.

After returning and having a time to reflect; my favorite part of the cruise was the time I spent in the Cloud 9 Spa and Therapy Rooms. My wife and I enjoy spending time at the spa since my daily work life is constant and hectic. The comedy shows were great the comedians were very entertaining only draw back is that the venue on the ship was very small.

The areas that could use improvement are everywhere. It is to my understanding that this ship was in dry dock for a much needed makeover from the Destiny (in which our family traveled on the Destiny prior to makeover). Well, lets just say there was more to de desired. Yeah they added some floors, a serenity area for adults, and sports complex at the top of the ship and I believe the Spa went through some renovations as well. Moreover after all the hype and the webcam showing the tear down and rebuilding process around the clock. I was expecting more. Like a wow effect..Honestly, the Sunshine does not even compare to the Carnival Breeze which came out at or around the same time the Destiny/Sunshine went into dry dock. The Cloud 9 Spa is a very relaxing and tranquail; there is one are where the heated relaxing tables look out into this picturesque view however the windows are dirty/filthy so your view cloudy. I thought maybe they would clean the window once we got to Bermuda for 2 days...nope that didn't happen either. The aroma steam room worked occasionally (it's just 5 days) and the sauna in the ladies bathroom did not work well either.

There was also rusted out areas in the Sunrise dining room by the windows were the salt water had just corroded the window seals. I  would not expect for a newly remodeled ship to look so worn. The carpet was fading and wearing.

Lastly, this I will contact Carnival directly was that my SPA stateroom; had an  undesirable stench (like sewage) seeping in the room. We contacted guest services and they pumped the toliet, deodorized the room; had evaporator machines placed in room, bleached down the walls and the smell was ever so present. I told them that it was not just in my room but down the hall and very strong around the corner on the 11th floor. They said they could smell some of what I was saying but they are so use to the the expelling of pungent gases they were somewhat use to it.

Now, for Bermuda...I have been 3 three times and I really did not care for Bermuda. The pink sand beach is beautiful; however I found the shopping to be very expensive. There is a local spot in Hamilton they are known for the Bermuda Fish Sandwich...it was amazing..Due to my wife being ill and could not tretch the 96 winding stairs to the Crystal Caves..we had to pass on that excursion.

Overall the trip was okay....however I can strike Bermuda off the Bucket List of places to visit.

Had it not been for having our good friends traveling with us to look forward to dining with each evening, this cruise would have been miserable. The ship is lovely with an accommodating staff, however the choice of entertainment was abominable for two senior travelers! The highlight of this trip was our time actually in Bermuda, always a delightful destination. The weather was ideal with calm seas and comfortable temperatures. 

Staff on the Sunshine Carnival cruise were great. The food was good but not exceptional like I heard from so many people that have cruised before. The stop in Saint John, New Brunswick was good but the shore in Halifax was great. The tour out to Peggy's Cove was very enjoyable. it is a beautiful little fishing village. the tour guides on the Hop On Hop Off Pink Tour buses were very knowledgeable about the area. Had a wonderful relaxing time. I would definitely cruise again.
