This was a much needed vacation/birthday cruise for my husband. Overall it was a very good experience working with the booking agency .

We had the faster to the fun pass which allowed us early access to our rooms and luggage as well as fast check-in.

Our cabin 8322 was spacious and had a decent size balcony.

The service in the MDR was lacking the first few nights but was addressed with moving us to a better section. The food on the ship was very good and we enjoyed the Guys Burger Joint as well as the specialty restaurant JiJi's Asian. 

The ports we visited were also very relaxing.

It was good except the water and food choices..my cabin was ecellent. Water need to improve greatly I got sick the very first day of drinking the water...

The Sunshine is one of our favorite ships.  It is small enough to navigate easily and the crew is excellent. Level five is where most of the action is and one can get from point A to point B in minutes.  On this trip Chris Williams was the cruise director. His energy level and talent made things even more enjoyable.

We are a family of 4 and we loved this ship. There were so many things to do and so many food options. The ship was clean and everyone was very friendly. We had an OV cabin and it was very spacious. Our cabin steward, our wait staff, and the cruise director were fabulous. We had YTD but were able to request the same servers each night. We only had to wait a few min one night for a table to be available. The kids loved the waterpark. They enjoyed Camp Carnival on this ship whereas on other ships they did not. I read so many negative reviews before we sailed but we didn't have any problems and would definitely sail on the Sunshine again.

the overall of the cruise was great. getting off the boat in Belize was terrible. we didn't port on the island it self, but we got there they at 8am and had to wait at least 2 hrs. to get on a small boat that  took you to the island.

Everything was my favorite part - from staff to food to cleanliness to activities and entertainment!!!!!!!!! I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone and everyone.

The food was excellent, wait staff and cabin steward were great. Our room was very nice. We enjoyed the ship. The number of ports for a 7 day cruise was great. We like sailing the western caribbean. The only thing we didn't like was the theater. It is to small for the number of guest. The sound engineer must be deaf, It was so loud that we went up as high in the seats as we could to keep from hurting our ears. After two nights of that, we stopped going to the theater. Every thing else was excellent. We have cruised about 25 times.

The actual cruise was fantastic. The staff is always amazing, we enjoy the food and the cruise director, Chris "The Flying Scottsman," was my absolute favorite so far! The captain had our best safety in mind and for this reason, we were unable to dock in Grand Turk- one of my favorite stops- due to high wind speeds. They made sure to provide great entertainment all day. With that being said, we were very annoyed at rude guests and parents not watching their children. At one point, someone thought it was funny to leave hot dogs outside of people's cabins- not funny in our opinion. I am not allowing this to reflect badly on Carnival's part, but the guests make me want to try another cruise line....but the entertainment was on point and we had a great time!

We booked a balcony suite at the spa serenity area. The serenity jacuzzi was always full, people drinking and speaking loud, lots of teens all over. Nothing of "SERENITY". YOU CANNOT FIND AN AVAILABLE CHAIR EVER, WERE EMPTY BUT HOLDING BY PEOPLE WITH TOWELS!!!. The other two jacuzzis was the private pool for kids without any supervision of their parents. I'm sure the safety regulation for using a jacuzzi is not longer that an hour!!!!. The casino was fine but all the people that smoke was there, not playing but smoking because was allowed... and at the end the Captain decide at the last minute not to stop at Grand Turke island because of the wheather and was the best day with a shiny sun... other cruises like Disney they stop. I'm sure he make that decision after waiting for about an hour to get to the port without any success. They don't give us any refund besides the port taxes ($15.00)... we have to stay almost three days without going nowhere!!!!!  

Family fun times. Loved watching thr family have a great time. Grandkids and I had a great time riding and racing on the water slides.  We played ping pong, foosball and mini golf. Swam and enjoyed the hot time. 

Loved the family dinners together. 

I loved my entire experience on this cruise......the food entertainment cleanliness....

The staff were pleasant. There was something to do for everyone. We all had a great time.  We have many wonderful pictures and memories. Thank you

It was excellent. the entire staff was friendly ship was clean above expectations. sunshine is a nice ship. The layout on Lido deck buffet is very nice it different then other ship I been on

Food was excellent ( better than last cruise 3/2016). Wait staff was exceptional. Entertainment was fun. Ship was immaculate. Loved room service and the crew who called us by name.

We enjoyed the whole cruise, everyone was so nice and friendly on the Sunshine, We had the best vacation ever, We loved the shows , the music , all the food you could ever want, ice cream ,pizza any time, it was something we had never done before, but definitely want to do again.

Our favorite part of our 7 night cruise on the Carnival Sunshine was Emma, the Cruise Director who along with the entire staff and performers on the ship made our cruise the best one we have experienced.  The shows were excellent and exciting, the service all over the ship was excellent, the food was very good and the staff was very efficient and pleasant. 

We highly recommend the Carnival Sunshine to anyone who is looking for a week long escape into music and fun. 

Unfortunately we experienced heavy rain at 2 of our 3 stops, but we still had fun!

We had a wonderful time on our vacation. The ship was great except for that fact that there was really one pool which was very small and always filled with kids. The ports of call were fantastic, but, unfortunately, it rained 2 out of our 3 port days. I guess you can't do anything about that. The shows were not that great. I also felt the movement of the ship so much more when eating in the main dining room this time, and I've never had that problem before on my past cruises. This was my fourth Carnival cruise, and this ship was definitely my least favorite. I did love going out of Charleston though. One thing that REALLY upset me was that I was given the first-time cruiser sail-and-sign card, and I never received my perks like a free cocktail. My word of advice would be not to get a room on the sixth floor because there is so much going on on the floor below, and we heard it EVERY morning while trying to sleep. I think 7 would be perfect. Our room and the staff were fantastic.

We had a wonderful time on the Carnival Sunshine with our neighbors.  Emma, our Cruise Director, is outstanding!  She and her staff are so wonderful and engaging - make you feel like family!  Fabulous entertainment!!  A fun and relaxing time!!  

Food was delicious although we did have a few service quality issues which were resolved by changing wait staff.  Organization of on board photo gallery could be greatly improved....staff continues to move photos which make it difficult to find them.  

Love the convenience of the Charleston port however this was 

the most unorganized facility we have ever used.

It took 2 1/2 hrs to check in!!

We love cruising & will definitely go again just not from 

Charleston until they build a cruise terminal.

The Sunshine ship is ok. The rooms are very small even 

with a balcony. The door to the Balcony was rusty especially 

the lock. The top screw was rusted & broken.  Ship 

definitely needs maintenance.  

I loved the whole cruise but my favorite part was when I volunteered to dance in one of the shows.  I was a little nervous but it ended up being the best part of the cruise.  Everyone was so nice and friendly.  I would highly recommend this cruise to everyone!!
