Review summary

We had gone a cruise for my uncle's 70th birthday. Overall, we were all disappointed due to the number of people on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Unfortunately, the staff were very overwhelmed since the cruise was sold out and PACKED. My daughter ordered ice cream one night and it was delivered to her as a soup. Our food was cold 2 different nights in the restaurant.

Service and Staff

Tegun was a FABULOUS cabin steward catering to the needs of my elderly mother and teenage daughter. Hashish and Frank in the Sunrise Restaurant was amazing as well. My daughter was the PRINCESS of the table.

Ship Quality

It was too crowded. Unfortunately, several areas were closed during the day (Red Frog Pug, LaughLine) which did not allow places for people to go and sit and enjoy quiet conversations. The floors were sticky on the decks inside of the promenade. Trash many times were left in the elevators. There was a HORRIBLE stench on the port side of the lido deck enterring the food area by the ice cream and drink station. There smelled to be some type of sewer leak (bathroom right there). The air did not work on that part of the lido deck as well. My elderly mother struggled using some of the restrooms in the public areas because they were not ADA compliant. Sanitizer stations were minimal and no one encouraging to wash as well as the stations were emptied.

Cabin / Stateroom

As we were booking the cabin, we reiterated many times and called back weekly to see if a handicap room had become available. The representative had booked us in a room with a roll away bed instead of the bunk bed style. Very disappointed. It made it extremely difficult with three people in that room with her mobility device. Our refrigerator did not work. My daughter was in the shower and the water completely turned off. Tried to use the phone but it had gone out. Went to the desk and the plumbers were doing maintenance but we were not notified that we would have a brief outage of water.

We had signed up for the special assist. We went to the lounge where we were supposed to report. I signed in on the list. Only 3 people were in the room. I had to go and ask about where we were on the list. They had forgotten about us and taken the other people who had come in. We waited about 1.5 hours.
