Review summary

This was a convenient option from NC. The ship needs serious attention and because it is a lower budget cruise it can be a bit more of a party crowd. Cruise Director and crew are amazing. Food was okay. Still glad I went before they quit cruising from Charleston.

Embarkation

Strange port set-up but I guess it works. Otherwise, the process was pretty smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Food was just okay, nothing special.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The Cruise Director was a blast, really enjoyed all of the music parties and the Love and marriage show.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
It was alright

Children's Programs

Not applicable to my cabin but there were a couple of kids in our big group that seemed to love it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had the best Dinning room attendant and Cabin Steward and the Cruise Director was Amazing!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The crew works tirelessly to keep the ship clean but The Sunshine needs to be refurbished in a big way. Layout was pretty cool.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was comfortable and clean just needs updated like the rest of the ship. Our cabin steward was AWESOME! Biggest shower I have ever had on a cruise ship.

Ports of call

Charleston, South Carolina

4 out of 5
I love Charleston as a whole, the port is odd but they manage well with an odd set-up.

Nassau, Bahamas

First time to Nassau and I don't think I need to go back. We didn't do an excursion and the beach was pretty far off and apparently a sketch walk. We did go to the Pirate Museum which I 10/10 recommend if you have a group of people to walk with as the walk can be a little sketch as well.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth considering the odd set-up. They manage it well. Busses will take you and your luggage to a covered area about mid-way of the parking lot and unload your luggage.
