Favorites that we enjoyed were the Chef’s Table, Sunrise dining room, Lido Marketplace buffet, and Serenity space for adults. The Cruise Director TJ was absolutely the best we have ever had.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was not as bad as people had described on YouTube and other sites. We had to walk about a mile from the different buildings to the port where we boarded the ship. But it was not as bad as I had imagined. The staff and team were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the process.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The Chef’s Table experience was simply awesome. The Head Chef and his Assistant did an outstanding job with our galley tour and over 7 courses of exquisitely prepared food and impeccable service. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and professional. Great job to Chef Vithal and Chef Sandi!!
Lido Marketplace
5 out of 5
The Lido Marketplace was our go-to for this cruise out of Charleston, SC. The food was well prepared, tasty, and excellent. It did not matter the meal whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it was always busy and always great quality.
Sunset Dining Room
5 out of 5
I cannot speak highly enough of Brajesh, Andy, Moh, and Jayzel. The dining room team we interacted with was simply awesome. They did a wonderful job and great service. This team was the absolute best we have ever had on a cruise.

Our room attendant Rajef was always friendly always smiling and always on time with all our requests. He always addressed us by our first names and very helpful with questions and solutions to our needs and desires.
Ship tip
The shop is a smaller ship than some of the newer ones in the fleet. Get a good layout of the ship before you board. Splurge a bit for the Chef’s Table, you will not be disappointed. The shows, comedy, and trivia were always excellent. If you’re a dancer, who likes to boogie, be prepared to hit the dance floor after 11 pm. There is no separate dance floor and multiple venues are used for other events. Some ships have their own dance floor and they kick off around 8 pm which is nice, but be prepared to wait til later to hit the dance floor on the Sunshine.
Nassau is going through a massive rebuild project to be better suited to accommodate the cruisers. The town is very busy and pan handlers meet you as soon as you clear the customs and the pier. We found that it is better to purchase bottles of water and other items further in than right on Bay St. when you get off the ship. One guy kept telling us that a bottle of water will cost us $5 where we are going and he was selling his for $2. However, when we got to the John Watling’s distillery the water was $1. 😳
Recommend the distillery as it’s a short tour and the house made Peña Colada is the best we have ever had as they make it with evaporated milk for more of a creamy texture. And the rum and house made vodka was delicious.
Debarking was simply a non-issue. Once your deck was called you could proceed through the customs area and the customs officials were very friendly and professional. Each adult could carry off 2 bottles of liquor per person without questions from the customs people.
