I doubt I will ever cruise with Carnival again. I was miserable about the noise level and was only offered another cabin on the next to last night of the cruise.

Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. Please make sure you do your research before deciding on a ship, itinerary and especially cabin placement. There are always cabins on ships that are above or below public spaces and if you want your cabin to be a quiet place, choose one away from public spaces.

Ooh, I would hate sleeping above a rock band too. But this isn't a reason to swear off carnival. Staterooms like this exist on all cruise ships, in all cruise lines. When booking your cruise, you need to pay attention to where your room is located, if you're sensitive to noise. There are many videos on YouTube with tips on choosing a room.

We had similar experience on our last cruise Marella Explorer, but certainly wouldn't put me off cruise line, probably after location, we experienced engine noise & vibration.
