Review summary

Really good cruise itinerary. The Carnival Sunshine is refurbished formerly Carnival Destiny, so some of the venues don't flow exactly, but all in all, it's a big comfortable ship with a lot of amenities.

The ship has been completely revamped from its original design in 1996, and some venues are less than easy to navigate. In places it is showing its age, but all in all is a great ship and a great time.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had the oddly positioned cabin near the back of the ship and it gave us a double wide balcony. I highly reccomend the cabins oriented this way.

Ship tip

The comedy club is situated so you run into the back entrance and if a show is about to begin, even if it hasn't yet, some staff will make you go up a floor go further to the front of the ship and back down a floor to enter from the opposite door that is 3o ft away. EVEN IF THE SHOW HAS NOT STARTED

The vendors immediately outside the port are VERY aggressive in pushing their tours. Once you get out of the port area, the town and people are really nice. Just be prepared to be pressed hard in the port area.
