We had a relaxing time and we enjoyed our cruise.

Embarkation

One of the fastest and most pleasant embarkations we have had in our cruise adventures.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food varied around the ship. The buffet could use a much larger variety. Having the same thing in four locations is a bit redundant. The salad bar should be one of the larger splits with a better reach counter. The sneeze glass makes it hard for shorter people to reach the items in the back. Even with my long reach, I had an inconvenient time reaching and placing items on my plate. The quality of food in the main dining room was suitable but a bit substandard. The stake I had one evening was tough and undercooked. The menu was diverse enough but the flavour wasn't something to brag about. One of the more exciting foods was Guy's burgers. Also, the temperature of the food should be monitored much closer. A hot dish should be on the table hot not warm! One very disappointing issue was that for two of our evenings in the dining room we had no bar service when Indra was not there and also that the supply of shot glasses ran out. That is poor purchasing for the number of people you load on each cruise. The numbers will vary from cruise to cruise but it's better to have more than not enough. You will always sell them in the end. Dinning staff at our table were right on the money.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We know that there could have been more hot tubs on the ship for the cool temperatures. The pool in the Serenity area could have been constructed with the thought that more people will be in it. There could be a second hot tub in this area as lots of adults jammed in the tub at one time. We had as many as 16 people in the tub and it made it tight.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We did not attend any of the shows but we did see Christian the cruise director in the main lobby area and that was fun. The DJ was great at his selection of tunes trying to keep everyone going on the pool deck.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
There are no complaints about any of our crew members that took care of all our needs.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It is a bit of a pain having to go up and then back down to get to the back eating area but that is how things are.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin had a fair amount of space without the couch out as a bed. For the two of us, it was spacious. The bathroom is standard but the cord for the hairdryer was an issue. You can't stretch it far enough to stand in front of the mirror and use it. Our room attendant was right on the job at all times.

Ship tip

Enjoy the ship for what it can offer you.

Ports of call

Charleston, South Carolina

5 out of 5
You need to arrive there a few days before the cruise date so you can take in the historic area near the port.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Great looking beaches and the port area has been cleaned up and made more visitor friendly.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island) Did not visit port

Could not visit because of water conditions.
