Met great new friends, had plenty of down time on Serenity. Many on our cruise were hit with the flu during and after, and those that went to medical were told it was not the flu, only to test positive once ashore. Either the tests in medical are inaccurate, or they downplayed an outbreak IMO.

Went quickly. Was our first cruise without FTTF, but with Charleston's current busing situation, it would have been wasted money.

Food and Dining

Our first ship with specialty dining, and it was fabulous. Jiji was some of the best we have ever had. The steakhouse was great. Sushi was beautiful. First cruise I've never had a single dinner in the MDR or any food from Lido buffet.

Lots of options. Didn't get to take part in many, but still had a great trip. Dive in movies are great alternative entertainment when we are sick!

Again, tons of options and opportunities, but we didn't really get to do shows this trip.

Pleasantly surprised our family of four wasn't as cramped as I was afraid of. We were spoiled by suites previously. Serenity Deck near the deck door was perfect. Quiet, very few rooms or traffic, perfect.
Ship tip
Prepare for the worst case scenario, bring plenty of sea and regular sickness meds. $18 for a bottle of nyquil will hurt your feelings, and they even sold out on our sailing due to the flu.
For all the work going on at port they have really managed to keep things moving for the passengers. My only complaint would be some of the port staff who just robotically repeat the same things so much that they really appear to be talking to no one, and then got upset when people turned them out.
We were diverted due to high wind. Hated to miss it, we booked solely for that port. Really hope that get that pier construction started soon so weather won't be an issue for tenders.
