@cruisegem96 I was on the 10/28 sailing and was asleep when the boat tilted on it’s side. And you are correct is it scary and thankfully our 7 year old was asleep. However there were people screaming and yelling for help and doctors and my sister was Injured but is doing much better. I talked to several people and they said they were flying home once we docked in Amber Cove. There were people in the hallways with life jackets, dishes flying everyone , etcc and I met several people who were boarding the ship today so it is headed back out to see.

Yeah I heard the story and I can definitely understand why people would be traumatized from that situation. I wouldn’t say you’re being dramatic at all because no one knows how they’d really feel unless they’re actually in that situation. Yeah the news said the ship was never in real danger, but still it’s gotta be scary to be on a large ship and have it tilt to the point where stuff is falling and people are getting injured. That’s still pretty bad. Hope they really check that ship out before they let it go out again.

We are on the 10th floor balcony 10117. We left on Sunday 10/28, returning tomorrow 11/02. It made the news in Orlando as well at US today.

Whitney31, are you talking about this past Sunday night? 10/28/18? I’m asking because I was on the cruise right before, 10/21-10/28 the one where the ship broke down in SanJuan. I was never so glad to get off the ship...many problems & the last thing I said to guest services was “I’m concerned about the safety of everyone on board when you take this ship right back out”. I pray nothing else happens and they dock this ship until all the concerns are addressed.

People did indeed get flown home on carnivals dime. Some were freaked out. Some had injuries. I am booked for Friday’s sailing. I am hoping for the best..

I am the wife to cwall45 our post maybe similar but we came on this ship to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We love Carnival and have never had a bad experience until this time,it’s not just what happened Sunday night for example we woke up this morning to water on our floor the crew told us there had been a leak. We are not trying to give bad reviews we just want people to know what happened while we have been on here. Mikey the cruise director is great along with our stewards and dinning room crew. The ports have been wonderful as well.The people that had their luggage were not crew members.

Yes it did list bad enough we were stuck in the elevator,we could hear dish breaking people screaming once we were able to get out of the elevator there were people having panic attacks and even the crew seemed in a panic. We asked what happened and no one could give us an answer. The next day we receive a letter from the captain stating what happened and gave everyone and 50$ on board credit.

Carnival "put people's lives at risk"? Seriously?? And how did they commit this heinous act? Did the ship list SO badly that deck chairs were skidding around everywhere, dishes were flying off the tables in the Main Dinning Room, the Lido Deck was closed down and passengers were ordered to their rooms and instructed to sing "Nearer My God To Thee" because of the imminent danger of The Sunshine pulling a Costa Concordia?? Admittedly, a broken stabilizer can give a ship a decided unpleasant list, but somehow I doubt if Carnival was putting people's lives at risk, if for no other reason than to avoid a LOT of negative publicity and extremely costly law suits! Sorry your cruise didn't go as planned and hope your future ones go better!☺

We are currently on Carnival Sunshine this is our fourth cruise with Carnival. This ship has some major issues for it just to come from dry dock we listed on Sunday night and it was bad felt like we were walking up hill. The ship also seems short staffed we got off in Amber Cove today and there were quite a few people getting off the ship with all their luggage.

You give it a 4 out of 5 star rating with this comment???? How about what was unsafe, and what is Carnival doing about it. I was just on the ship this past end of August with 18 other family members and none of us saw any issues. Great ship. Great time.
