we arrived to our room and there was no air conditioning, we complained for 3 days several times a day. finally Tulan Pokharel got involved. He came to my room and the temp in there was 72.8. Which is unacceptable as i do not sleep well when the room is warm. My wife who is always cold even complained it was warm.So he moved us to a lower floor and had housekeeping give us a fan. That helped the solution as far as the temperature . New Problem though, all day electric sawing can be heard in so my wife couldnt sleep in the room. Then one day my room was filled with the smell of spray paint, which took over an hour for someone to come to our rescue. we love carnival, but will avoid the sunshine in the future. Jeerawut was awesome and made sure our room was cleaned to our liking.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Pretty quickly , everything happened so fast, we didn't have to sit and wait long to get on board...it was a smooth transaction
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining room food was great as expected and so was the specialty restaurant Fahrenheit 551. How ever the buffet was the Same food every day with maybe one different thing here and there....it needed to be changed up some with more variety.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We were very disappointed in the ship only having one pool that had to be shared with over 700 kids on board. The serentity pool was always packed b/c we tried to get away from all the kids. People did not control there kids from splashing in everyones faces, and throwing water it was ridiculous!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The performances we saw were ALL outstanding, very entertaining. The staff JJ especially always kept everything going and everyone entertained. The comedy club was pretty funny to. The djs they had on board always played great music from many generations.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
all the staff was friendly and outstanding. Our cabin hosts/cleaners were amazing and did everything we asked. The wait staff in the dining room was always there to every need and they got to know what we liked and didnt even have to ask.
Ship Quality

I get the whole reasoning for the casino to be the "center" that you had to go through to get from a to b and d to g.....I get it makes people spend money but people like me that are allergic to smoke & choose not to be around the nasty smell was very disappointed we had to walk through there numerous times a day to get places
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
our cabin the first few nights we had was HORRIBLE the air conditioning didnt work and after calling numerous times about it finally the 3rd night of complaining they decided to move us. Someone came up and measured the temp and said it was a "comfortable" 72 degrees , which felt like 92 with the temps getting hotter as we were farther from NYC.....so after they kindly moved us we were above a "maintenance" shop. We heard saws and pounding all day even through out the night & early hours. One point I thought someone was trying to saw into the ship I was freeking out. Our cabin was in a horrible place but I didn't want to move a 2nd time and they didn't even offer to move us a 2nd time.No one should be even put there and I'm pretty sure that's why they were able to move us so quickly to an "empty" cabin b/c they leave it empty on purpose b/c of the noise from below the cabin. Disappointed in our room for the anount we had to pay for this trip with no reconciliation .
Ship tip
Find out what is below & above your cabin!!! lower room temperatures and make it up to the customer how cold room is to be
It was cancelled b/c we got there 2 hours late. Food in San Juan was horrible for the price we paid. wouldve much rather just ate on board and saved $50
Very unorganized when you do the checked baggage....seems like forever even when you have to catch a bus which we almost missed. Mind you we were pretty much "kicked" out of the cabins at 830 then when I went back after 9 to grab a banana on the buffet to take with me, they had closed it all up and we couldn't get anything....I realize they have to turn over the ship and resail but we paid our money to so maybe not sailing back out the same day would make us vacationers feel more welcome by not rushing us and kicking us off!!! Thats how we felt,
this cabin has No adjustable AC...and the construction noise is terrible.1535 should be taken out of service!!!!!!!!we spent a noisy, hot ten days in there.
jere was awesome to us, 72 is not cool when the temps out side were over 90...as my husband stated I'm always cold since I had gastric surgery but for ME to say it was warm in there it definitely warm.
I think here was also our steward. he cleaned great, but was not friendly .we were used to at least a smile. everyone kept denying that we were hearing anything. funny thing is...they all made a cell call before entering our cabin. I finally recorded the sawing, and hammering, and played it for them.even went down near med center, but security quickly hustled me back upstairs..saying they would fix the problem.will never stay on deck one again.
I get it. Me and my husband always keep the AC on 64 degrees. It would probably be lower, but that's the lowest it goes. During the night we also have our ceiling fan on and another fan right in front of our faces. We like to keep it cool. We can't sleep when it's overly hot. My mom always say how cold it is when she comes over, but we like it. ðð¨âï¸
How cold do you want it? we live in Florida and keep our air at 77 and my wife is always cold and I'm a hot person. That's not carnivals fault. That air temperature is good.
