Review summary

The service on the cruise was wonderful, and the cruise director and staff were very fun. Loved karaoke and the piano bar. However, the very long lines in Norfolk (2 hour wait in the 90-degree heat) caused us to leave late, and almost the whole rest of the cruise ran late. Arrived in Nassau late and several shore excursions were cancelled. Departure from the boat became chaotic and no one was sure where to go to connect with Atlantis. Rough seas going and coming also contributed to the schedule problems. It rained all but one day of our 5-day cruise. Our glass bottom boat excursion in Freeport was cancelled, but no one told us so we waited on the docks in the rain for nearly an hour. Finally, my husband had to do some work online and wound up paying for the most expensive wifi package so he could get any internet service. However this was even unreliable and took 4 hours to send one text-based email at the worst of it.

Ship tip

If you're cruising from Norfolk and prone to motion sickness, you might rethink and go out of a port that spends less time at sea.
