Review summary
We were on waitlist for dining most nights we had Ariyanna who was wonderful with his staff. Other nights we were told by waiters after we were seated we would have to wait because they were busy unacceptable. Sewage smell on this ship made my daughter ill she spent most evenings in the cabin. As gold members we were told our room would only be cleaned once a day but new cruisers were getting it twice. I walk with a cane there were floods all over deck 6 I slipped twisted my ankle and hurt my knee reported to room steward and service desk and all I was told was I could see dr at my expense really.

We sailed on the Sunshine last November. There wasn't any sewage smell. Our cabin was serviced twice a day without asking. We didn't have to wait at the MDR, but we had early seating. We enjoyed our cruise.
I keep looking for other reviews for this ship including 6 Deck and I can't find any. Maybe I haven't been looking in the right places.
I'm not doubting the OP on the complaint on odor, am questioning on the blame game. Beer cans, bottles are being flushed to hide them from parents or spouses and once the sewage system fails, you just can't call a plumber to fix it. The water flooding the deck???? They claimed the deck was flooded. That would be very news worthy and since it's a Carnival ship? Most of the news agencies would be plasterin it all over the place. Carnival ship Sunshine flooding. If it was reported, fans would be in the area drying the carpet.
Now the medical issue. Never take a cruise without insurance. You never know what can happen.
Going back the flooding. Deck 6 has showers, not tubs. Now, was the flooding in their cabin and caused by the shower drain clogged by a towel or a piece of clothing and the person slipped as a result of it? Someone has got to pay that doctor and if all of this was not the fault of Carnival? Then the passenger is responsible for the bill.
I was on Destiny before she became Sunshine and my cabin was in deck 6 and I tossed a towel over the shower curtain and I turned on the shower letting the water warm up. My steward came to introduce himself and his support staff. We were in rough seas, the towel fell into the shower clogging the drain flooding the bathroom and the water ran out into the cabin and my steward saw it standing in the door while talking to me. They cleaned up my mess.
Gee that was wordy.

Thanks for an honest review of your cruise. It sounds like you had a lazy cabin steward. Carnival is on some ships giving card for if you want the steward to make up your room morning or evening. I chose both and got twice a day room cleaning.
For the injury I hope you contact Carnival offices. If you went to your MD once getting home a copy of that report would support you claim to Carnival.
Best wishes your next cruise is all you want it to be.

We cruised on the Sunshine in March and it is our favourite ship so far. We are also gold level and had our room cleaned twice each day without asking for it. With YTD we never had to wait to be seated or served. It was great checking in on deck 5 and heading down and right into the MDR.
we noticed sewage smells a couple of times, but nothing to complain about. It happens on all ships - people forget not to try to flush some things and the toilets get plugged.
Hopefully you will enjoy your next ship.
