Review summary
We got to the terminal and checked in. Got on board and started looking around the ship. So far so good. Then we went to our cabins. 5 people and 2 cabins,7th floor, Suite & 2 doors down a balcony cabin. We went into cabin and then we found it. In our balcony cabin the dust was thick, Floor wasn't vacuumed and bathroom was dirty. Then we got a call from the other cabin, asking how ours was. Their suite was also dirty, dusty and it seems the bed linen wasn't changed because there were things found on the sheets that wern't supposed to be there. After a trip to guest services the housekeeping supervisor came to room, looked at all the problems and agreed it shouldn't have been that way. We went to hang out for a couple of hours so they could get all cleaned up. Problem solved right? That night we had late dining and when we got to the dining room we were escorted to our booth. The booth we couldn't fit in unless we were all about the size of a runway model, which we were not. After a trip up front to the "Head waiter" we were finally seated at a table big enough to hold us.To shorten this a bit I'll just say the food on Lido was better than the bland food in the MDR. We only tried to eat there 2 more nights one of which being Formal" night because we took up precious room in our luggage to bring dress clothes, because we wanted to get some nice family photos. Each night we ate there we would end up in Lido for a snack later because we never finished our food in MDR.
The rest of the trip was up to par with these experiences. We had very rough and rocking trip for all but 2 days out of 8. We were 3 hours late to our 1st port so most of the excursions had to be canceled. When we went to the excursion desk to rebook something in another port we were just out of luck.We have been on several cruises on Carnival,Royal Carribean, & Disney and if we had of been smart we should have taken Carnival up on their "Great Vacation Guarantee" and left the ship1st port. Every where we went the ship was too crowded and it was just not a very good trip. I hope others had better experiences than we did.!
