Review summary

I got my family to go on the carnival sunshine because I heard good things about this ship! I was wrong and my family was very upset! For starters, the port was great, the wait wasn't that long at all! We get on the boat and usually they deliver our luggage pretty quick, not this time. No one in my family, nor myself was able to shower before LATE (8:15) dinner. Every single night we ate dinner, our food was the last food to come out while people were leaving, we were getting our appetizers. The waiters needed help, and the manager didn't even TRY to help. A waiter dropped a dish, and he just stood there waited for the waiter to serve the food and come back to pick it up! Not cool at all, he obviously needed help, then told him to hurry up because it was almost show time!? Short staff was the reason the manager gave us! When I went back to my room there was our luggage! Done of our items were missing went to the desk they made note of it. Only to find out the luggage handlers broke the bottom of my bag. The desk told me when I got off the boat to purchase new luggage and they would reimburse me for 100$. It's not like there was a wall mart close, so I ended up paying 160 dollars for a luggage! I brought them the receipt and they informed me they will only give me back 120$! And there was nothing else they could do for me! Not nice! the food was not the same as the other ships I've been on but I do being a lot of business to carnival and I have been very loyal but the way my family and myself were treated on this cruise was terrible! We are going in the VISTA March 24th 2018 so hopefully this will be a better experience! Please contact me for detailed pictures and names!

Didi was awesome only thing is we got all of our papers days late when the events had already taken place!

My husband and I are thinking of venturing onto this ship in September 2017.. after sailing with other lines. Any reviews for the inside spa cabins? Or the New England tour from past cruises?

My husband and I cruised on the Sunshine in 2015 and loved every minute of it. Food was wonderful, shows were fantastic and all service was excellent. We cruised on the Liberty in 2016 and had the same quality experience. We wanted to give RC Majesty an opportunity to WOW us so we booked a cruise for April and I can hardly wait. I love cruising ð

That's what Shipmates is supposed to be about Beray0611 but unfortunately there are a lot of fake reviews on here.When I read a post I will click on that person's profile. Some may be legit but if they have a generic picture, no cruise history and no personal pictures I disregard anything they say. A legitimate poster will respond to further inquiries or comments the fake ones do not.

What's great about Shipmates is we get the opportunity to share our experiences, good and bad and hopefully others will respect their opinions. We all have our favorite ship, waiter, port of call, and memory but just because someone doesn't agree doesn't mean they are hard to please or go on a ship with a bad attitude.

jamiereed1989. A CRUISE IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT... If you had done your research you would have seen that they recommend you carry on a set of clothes because some luggage takes awhile. The Sunshine has so many different dining venues I don't see how anyone would not be happy. IF you go on with a bad attitude nothing can be done to please you!!!!!!

Are you kidding me this cruise was amazing and you do not have to undermine it. Put yourself in there shoes having to do that because they may not have any education or family to be worth living for. so maybe you had a bad experiance and really hope you enjoy your next but not everyone else had a bad time and most peoplebhave never even seen a cruise ship never the less complain about one.

We were on Sunshine in January. We had anytime dining. We only ate in the dining room twice, because they couldn't seat us together. there were 23 of us. It didn't take long for us to our luggage. We enjoyed the ship.

We were on the Sunshine out of New York in September. It was great for us. We did amytime dining and had very good service. So very sorry about your bad cruise. Hopefully the Vista cruise will be perfect

We were on the Sunshine over Christmas 2016, it was AWFUL! The buffet was closed for HOURS between breakfast and lunch and again between lunch and dinner. The late night buffet was awful too. Food was a terrible and the dining hall had terrible service. We waited forever and the food was cold. We were warned of Carnival's bad service but wanted to give it a chance. That will be the last time we sail with them.

The sunshine was great our first night in the mdr was seated in a bad area asked to move moved and they did luggage was a little late to room but not that late overall we had a wonderful time
