Review summary

Last summer, I took the Norwegian Breakaway to Bermuda; it was top notch! I just came back from the Carnival Sunshine last week. It was so disappointing! The food was horrible; greasy burgers from Guy Fieri, tacos in the Iguana Bar; it was all fast food junk. The Lido Marketplace buffet offered dried out pork chops and greasy Asian food. Nothing in the price inclusive restaurants was of high quality.

The entertainment was lame, and the cruise director was annoying. I had to pay extra to go to the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse restaurant ($35) in order to get the quality of food that was offered everywhere for free on Norwegian. We stopped at Saint John's in Canada. The mall was nice, but there were homeless people everywhere. It was depressing. The only thing I liked about the cruise was the day in Halifax. It's a really nice place to go, and we took a trip to the museum and saw artifacts from the Titanic. I would not recommend this cruise, and I would never go on Carnival again. Comparing Carnival to Norwegian is like comparing a one-star hotel to a five-star hotel. Hope this helps someone else from wasting their money!

I have made many positive comments on other posts. Just not about the Sunshine. You told me I was negative & an unhappy person. You do not know me. I just want you to quit making comments on everything I say because that is harassing me in my opinion but unfortunately there's no way to block people. You don't seem to make comments on anyone's reviews unless they're bad from what I've seen so I can say the same thing. You are just waiting to pounce on them. I just want no contact period.

It's just that if you love Carnival like you say you do then one should see some positive comments about CCL instead of always agreeing with people who have negative things to say. It seems you love cruising just like I do. I just look for the good things and will never let one or two things ruin a cruise for me. I have been on 83 cruises and love Celebrity, RCCL

Gellmore I like Carnival just not the Sunshine. You're nothing but a troll. You have no reviews & you only pick on people that don't like Sunshine. I've already told you to leave me alone. But you won't. You don't see the good things I post because you don't go on many of the good reviews. Leave me alone already. I'm tired of you harassing me.

You need a good excursion in st.john we went to the sea caves at the bay of fundy and we saw the reversing falls as well as the indoor farmers market the people were welcoming we enjoyed it those people probably not homeless they were locals I'm originally from the northeast close to Canada and that's how most people dress look lol it's not a bad area it's a small town in the north.

I've only been on Carnival. The Fantasy & Sunshine. Fantasy was pretty good. Sunshine I totally agree buffet. It was awful. Unless it was chicken strips the chicken was not actual chicken. It was processed or something. I did like the Iguana Bar & Pasta bar but they were only open a couple hours a day. A friend with us said the food didn't compare to Princess either. The Fantasy btw was much better. And I'm sorry that when you give people an honest review they give you a hard time & say you're negative & unhappy, etc. It was done to me. Everyone's entitled to their opinion & I agree with you on a lot of points. For entertainment Nowegian seems to be one of the best. I watch old episodes of mighty ships & they actually have shows I'd love to see like aerial shows, the blue men, etc. Have a good day.

Yup that is what I said I have been on 5 different cruise and I have heard at least one person not happy. You will never be able to please everyone. .your on vacation stop being miserable....have a drink and fun...

That review cracks me up. I just got off the Sunshine a few weeks ago and enjoyed all of it. The food was great, never had a bad meal. And I tried most of it. As far as the burgers go, what do you expect at a burger joint? And the cruise director was the best I've ever seen. She had serious entertaining skills, being able to move a crowd the way she did. Obviously some people will pay thousands of dollars and find a way to be miserable. Not me.

I only Cruise carnival and I love carnival been on the sunshine and it was great to each it's on but I heard Norwegian is dirty and nasty and the crew was not friendly over heard people talking on carnival about their experiences on Norwegian. Yeah carnival

We have been on both norwegian and carnival. I have learned that you can't please all the people all the time.. we were on norwegian dawn and the breakaway . I thought the breakaway was better. We were on the carnival liberty it was very nice and in September we are carnival sunshine I don't intend to made a decision to I see the ship. Like I said you can't please everyone. .

Well I love Carnival and the people who Cruise Carnival I always have high praise for Carnival I am from the Midwest and our beef and pork is some of the best in the country so when I am traveling I know its not the best meat and what Im use to but I will not let it ruin my vacation Ya CARNIVAL
