Review summary

It would be nice not to have to go through smoke-filled casino to get to At Your Table for dinner seating time. Another location away from the smoke right before you eat would be great.

Thanks nickman...its all fun...its ok...I've done it myself...we are all opinionated and that's what makes the world go round...no need to ever apologize..let's just pray that we can all continue to cruise...life's too short !! Maybe see you onba future cruise...I just told my hubby to sprinkle my asses at sea!! Lol...

peace, to be honest, I had no idea you wrote that post. I was so fed up with all the negativity it just twisted my balls and I went off. I know you and where you're coming from, from other threads. You're good people. Sorry. And don't know about smoking but yeah, the drinking does add to the fun.

When I said thank God smokers are confined to areas I didn't mean to offend...just stating a fact...PS....thr Paradise was a smoke free ship when it first launched and I was on the first sailing...it was nice but heck...all the fun party people smoke and drink...lol

Bottom line...not trying to stir up anything...second hand smoke is a health hazard...not trying to offend...try watching your father die a horrible death from lung cancer...that may change your opinion...I don't think heavy drinkers or heavy eaters will affect my health but each to their own..I just go with the flow and avoid those areas...totally understand it is a horrible addiction 😕

We just hurried through the casino because if we wanted to see a show at the Limelight lounge or Liquid Lounge it was a lot easier to do that than go to a floor with just cabins or the Lido deck to get to those places. If we ever went on the Sunshine again we know to do the reserved dining.

Walk to the back (aft) if your cabin is forward & go down or up at elevators or stairs to get to deck 5, go past Alchemy bar(non- smoking) & get your time for dining unless you are assigned dining time, either way you can easily get to Sunrise dining if that's where you are to eat. If Sunset, do the opposite route. Get a map at guest services, ask questions &!explore! We did this and it worked!!

the problem is that people post their true feelings on their cruise and it pisses people off when you make negative remarks about a carnival cruise.

You said thank God for the bars for all those nasty drinkers & the buffet for the buffet for all the obese. We'll you can get alcohol in the which is a bar(you have to be in the atrium for guest services. There are also certain decks you can smoke on as well. Not just the casino. The last ship I was on thecasino was not in the middle of the ship so this was a 1st for me. And honestly I'm done with this. I've got other things to do today. We just agree to disagree. It's the ship's policy regardless of who likes it so it doesn't matter in the end. I was just trying to make a point that obese people or someone drinking or working out does not hurt anyone else but that keeps going over your head. Good day everyone

Where in any of my answer to you did i say it was the same as drinking? I already told you what I said before was a response to someone elses comment. Don't y ever presume about what i give a rats as about. You don't know me or my family. You have know idea what limitations we have. You couldn't possibly because we don't burden anyone else with our problems. Get the chip off your shoulder.

You can't get congestive heart failure from someone else drinking. My aunt couldn't have a possible deadly attack because of her COPD from people drinking. So no it is not the same. Smoking affects other people not just the one smoking. And a lot of people probably didn't know about the back elevators. The Sunshine is a bit more confusing for older people. I got turned around on it a few times because the layout was really kind of odd imo. But obviously you don't give a rat's ass & are still going to compare smoking to drinking, etc. When's the last time you could smell alcohol when you walked through a room & people with asthma, COPD, etc could have issues breathing? Not the same. Stupid comparison. And yes I used to smoke which is why I have worse problems now according to my doctor.

No that "crap" is relevant to my answer to the post. I take exception to the statement "thank god the smokers are confined" like a bunch of lepers. Look, I get it, some people don't like the smoke. But people do it. If you don't like it, avoid it. I'm sorry for your aunts condition and I'm sure she's learned to deal with avoiding situations. Its not fun I'm sure. But the world doesn't stop turning for anyone. We "lepers" go where we are allowed to. We understand. There must be a reason why there are no smoke free ships. I'm sure in the future there will be. Until then.......

Nick man 684, none of that crap is relevant & you know it. There's no need to be a smart @$$ about it. My aunt has COPD & can NOT be around ANY smoke period or it could be deadly. That's not complaining. That's telling it like it is.

I agree that the layout of having the casino in the middle of deck 5 is aggravating especially if you have a forward cabin. Luckily we we had an Aft cabin & the closest elevators were the back elevators. I agree lonestarblondie that the nasty comments are uncalled for in this thread. I'm an ex smoker & it really bothers my allergies now. After all everyone has an opinion & just because not everyone agrees doesn't mean we are wrong

I also have the same problem with smoke on ships. My husband is actually allergic to smoke and his throat closes up. That is why I am an ex smoker. I think these nasty comments are ridiculousin this feed!

Oh yes, and thank God for all the bars for those nasty drinkers. And thank God for the buffet for all those obese people. And thank God for the camps for all those pesky children. And thank God for the gym for all those fit people so we don't have to watch them exercise. And thanks God the ships so big so I don't have to deal with complainers like you.

I don't know why people think that they have to go through the casino to get there meal ticket. We have been on the Sunshine several times and never been in the casino. If you look at the ship layout you can see that you don't have to go through it.

Rear elevators, 5th floor. Go into the Alchemy bar to the line for the dining room and you'll think your still in the bubble you must live in to avoid offensive smells.

If you go to back elevators on a higher deck, go down to your dinner. No walking through smoke. Hope you had a great cruise.
